within berlin-based imprint zaijenroots was launched in 2013, with a collaborative ep entitled they are strong from ibadan main man, jerome sydenham, and no mad ronin, who returns to the imprint for a solo endeavor here.

no mad ronin, an architecture graduate of bauhaus weimar, first met jerome sydenham in 2010 and instantly connected with the legendary us producer. since then, they pair have collaborated, with sydenham taking the german producer under his arm and ultimately releasing a collaborative 12inch on ibadan in 2012 entitled >i adventure<

bratha is the name of the berlin based collaboration of matt nowak aka no mad ronin and the analogue cops aka lucretio and marieu. their releases on their own label bratha, on voitax and on restoration have quickly sold out without any mainstream promotion. topless dancers is their debut e.p. on matt nowaks imprint zaijenroots. as usual, this vinyl only release recorded at the restoration headquarters and mastered at dubplates & mastering, combines refined samples and quotes with extremely solid, pumpin beats and fat basslines. the grooves move smoothly from the metronomic dance attitude with a romanian touch topless dancers of the title track, to the wobbling estate, undergoing to the suspended, melancholic fluctuations of space boogie and the slow discoidish no mad ronins death. this pumping ep for sure fills every dancefloor with a deep and smooth vibe of real underground dancemusic made in berlin.

the chicago based perpetual rhythms label welcomes long time chicago artist brian harden for the its 5th release, the essence of chicago. this ep offers 3 solid tracks, including a remix by dj quad, all of which represent the many facettes of chicago house & techno, deep, soulful, & banging.

matt nowak drops a trio of mesmerising techno tracks on his zaijenroots imprint this june with appearances from sebastian klenk and jerome sydenham. matt nowak inaugurated the zaijenroots discography under his no mad ronin moniker alongside jerome sydenham in 2013, before reappearing for the second release with quiet daze (ian pooley) on remix duties. as the label returns for its third outing nowak pairs up with german producer sebastian klenk whilst distinguished veteran sydenham carves up a remix. *aleister* sees nowak and klenk create an acosmic track that initiates with a touch of funk before sullen synths make way for punchy sp-1200 beats and unsettling throbs. sydenham provides a rendition of no mad ronin *chemical planet* from zaijenroots second release, featuring a perennial hook joined by intangible spoken samples and a subtle sub bass. lastly *lenore* ties things together with a subterranean cut abundant with echoes and spacey atmospherics.

madteo, vinalog (a.k.a. emg and john swing) and third side have remixed xenogears >multiverse<. xenogears is the name of the first studio project of marieu and lucretio, also known as the analogue cops. with this moniker they released a bunch of seminal techno cuts on the first chapters of their restoration imprint, back in 2007. now, the xenogears are back and a full album titled >lost artemis< will be released in spring 2014 featuring their distinctive fast minimalistic, detroit-inspired and machines-driven techno.>multiverse< is the single choosen to transmit the sound of their forthcoming album, which will also features collaborations with their >bratha< no mad ronin and the talented producer known as objekt.
