very limited repress. long awaited amazing longplayer by jay bliss! after a few years of releasing quite a bunch of eps on various labels, jay bliss has pulled down the throttle for a while. this doesnt mean that he took time off from the studio, on the contrary, he perfected his signature sounds. spending time to bake his own imprints aswell, its only natural that his first lp will see the light of day on stomping grounds. lush and organic pads, playful textures and attention to details are the building blocks of this introspective work, divided into 6 pieces. in perfect tune with the acoustic aesthetics, max binski creates a clean, yet beatiful peace of artwork. vinyl only.
very limited repress! stomping grounds is back with some new recruited talent, that will definitely make you give this record a few spins. first track is from jay bliss, a deep and moody techno track. second track is from s.a.m., a guy who has been making waves in the past few years on some of the most respected undergound record labels. flip the record and you will find a trippy track from vlad radu, half of the vrac project, who is also been featured on rhadoos fabric mix.
limited repress due to high demand on requests. eating records was born in the brussels underground scene, inspired by the idea of synthesizing two different horizons to get a beautiful concept. in the beginning it was simply the need to go back to roots and try to connect with the present and future, but eventually it ended up with a modern groovy label. the first release of the label was not that easy to find. the eclectic worlds of the two members did not really help them. but that was until they found jr from dallas - a talented dj producer from lille, owner of gourmand music recording - maybe food is the key... who knows ? jr has always been a forward-moving artist, but his music cannot - and should not - be mapped linearly. after releasing on labels as farris wheel recordings and greenhouse recordings, he had nowhere to go but backward for his new ep on eating records to its 90 old school beats and hypnotizing basses. phonical deep is gorgeous and evocative all the same. technival is stylish enough, and it is as restlessly creative as you would expect. it is followed by the hypnotic and beautiful remix of jay bliss of phonical deep - the eps final track. the fact is, jay bliss has managed to create something so refreshingly unique that trying to categorize and label his remix is rather dubious. he transformed the original melodic part to a blissful pad embellished with a repetitive rhythm spiced with tiny subtle details. it is easier to see this remix as the backbone of electronic music - simple and repetitive but never boring.
its fairly safe to say that jay bliss is on fire at the moment. now he takes time out from his recently launched stomping grounds imprint to follow up on his 2013 appearance with och on the remix ep. here the warm, punchy 9 minute a-side creates a highly seductive floor-tension. flip the disc over for two modern takes on minimalism, possibly paying homage to studio one or basic channel with persistent rhythms, undertones of original dub, shaken and stirred with plenty off bliss magic.
three formidable names from the romanian house/techno scene combine on this sumptuous new ep for the burgeoning wrong state imprint. in various combinations, jay bliss, mihai popoviciu and pagal have previously collaborated on tracks like bis com on diynamic and eucalipt / melange on fear of flying, and count releases on 2020 vision, popcorn records, suara, highgrade records and area remote between them. their first joint effort in some time yields some superb results.
och has a strong pedigree of collaborations with fellow underground stalwart jay bliss the latest to share space on a autoreply record with the label boss. bliss should be known to many as the co-owner of electrique boutique alongside markus homm, for a long time the only vinyl outlet in romania, and his discography makes for impressive reading these days. recent times have seen mr bliss share record space with the likes of skudge and petre inspirescu on respected imprints like 20:20 vision, all inn, hudd traxx and fear of flying.
jay bliss is our first ever romanian signing. there has been a influx of superb romanian producers over the last years including a:rpia:r and the trend continues with bliss and his hermanndstadt collective. developing a style sitting somewhere between house and techno, with strong detroit roots he has released for the likes of immigrant, hudd trax and diynamic. pluto has been a staple of ralph lawsons sets for a while now, its a smooth and crisp tech house roller that recalls classic 2020 releases gone by, especially those of carl finlows. on the flip weve turned to skudge to give us their own take on pluto. weve been fans of skudge since they dropped their first single, and have had us transfixed with their excursions into pure analogue, loopy, dub techno ever since. their version of pluto is a different beast to the original, all stuttering percussion and menacing strings, a perfect counterbalance to the original version
vinyl only – limited copies! all inn represents jay bliss in the 8th round of black series. kokkoo for coco puffs gives a repetitive hypnosis to the dancefloors in more than 13 minutes. after the long tracker trip on the flipside war of the worlds comes front of us with dry and housey rhythms filled with funk, and mission control closes the line with its perfect toolistic sound for main-time djsets

hudd traxx welcome romanian wizz kids mihai popoviciu, jay bliss & toygun aka hermannstadt collective to the label. between them the boys have had previous releases on immigrint, high grade, smoke city and have also had music licensed to circolocos 10 year anniversary comp on moon harbour. hottly tipped as ones to watch in 2009!! dj support: jesse rose: sounds good! laurent garnier: nice groovy house ep, works great, would love to play it pezzner: hey im totally loving it brett johnson: some quality deep house
hudd traxx sister label smoke city with a deep jackin house ep with real attitude! rolling beats & bouncy synthy hooks are the order of the day here ?fans of migs, chandler & holder should head straight for the a side, you wont be disappointed! twisted on the flip opts for more focus on the beats, again working that infectious stabby vibe but in a much more dubby fashion. the non believers new world mix completes the package with a much deeper, spoken laced mood thats destined to cut it in the darker hours of the dancefloor.
vision songs vol. 1 (1984) is the laraaji album like no other, located at the intersection of new age and gospel. it is both his outlier and magnum opus, the feel-good diy tape of the century. discovered busking in washington square park by brian eno in the late 70s, engagement with the eternal flow has led laraaji to, seemingly by magic, emerge as the most beloved avatar of the unstoppable new age music revival of recent years. now vision songs rewrites laraaji’s musical history. unlike the many instrumental, free form albums upon which his reputation was built, this is an album of songs, with lyrics, verses, choruses. vision songs is literally a revelation -- of a master songwriter whose unbelievably catchy best compositions such as “we shall be lifted”, “all of a sudden”, and “is this clear?” belong in any great american songbook. casio synth jams recorded at spiritual retreat guest rooms and a tiny bedroom on the upper west side, lysergicallyspectacular anthems for a continually arriving new moment, “channeled,” as laraaji states in the album’s eloquent liner notes, “from the sky,” previously available in an edition of 100 cassettes sold at yoga retreats and on the streets of new york city, vision songs is humbly offered on vinyl, cd, and streaming for the very first time. this is where this is going on, this is where this is taking place, this is how this is going on. is this very clear?
asagaya debut album, entirely produced by guts asagaya is heavily supported by french musical mastermind guts (heavenly sweetness), who also produced the entire record & features his companions for hiphop after all lorine chia and leron thomas. as multi instrumentalist with a synthetic, programmed voice, asagaya & his soundscape is clearly rooted in hip hop music, also deriving from another sphere, more alternativ and transversal. he is a mystical figure from somewhere in this world. his songs create their own mood, they capture the unique sensibility. the lyrics take the listener into a journey through asagayas mystic & surreal world. the vinyl lp includes a free download code.
first to remix his who needs enemies cut is romanian 2020 vision and all inn records associate jay bliss. he flips the track into a deep, rubbery house groover with muted neon chords & crisp percussion. it s a no nonsense affair with infectious and icy hi hats that really get under your skin. next up, nikola gala is a prolific producer whose impeccably produced tracks have become big releases for ibadan records, rekids, freerange records and plastic city. he serves up two remixes, the first of which is a dubby mix of who needs enemies. stripping things back to an essential, locked on groove, hunched drums, rolling hits and frazzled synth lines all make for a seductive track that is warm and organic in all the right ways. finally, gala turns out a techy mix of the same track that is much quicker, more urgent and banging. metallic chords, grinding bass and indecipherable vocal cries all characterise this more physical version and it will bang in clubs as a result.
the next ep on back to yous collection is brit born, adam sheltons mindscape. following his debut on air london at the start of 2011, shelton has continued to pave the way with his undeniable originality. displaying sounds of tech through to atmospheric, the producers ability shows no boundary.
another undercut by one to one records this time with alex m (italy),who gave us two vocal tracks with 90 influences.on board with hot remixes, this time its jay bliss turn (2020 vision) and,for the other one,a partnership between mazu (waveform recordings) together with label boss john stoongard....
labelhead daniel sanchez invites his friends mulder, jay bliss, wietse smit & roderik flohil and e-contact for release #10 on bla bla records. support: karotte, gregot tresher, laurent garnier, marco carola, alex niggemann, paco osuna, matt star, barem, onur Özer
on side a: markus homm, mihai popoviciu and jay bliss. three sophisticated artists with releases on highgrade, imigrant and foundation records. this magical trio created this funky, deep house track for us, which brims over with groove and energy. on side b we are ver happy to welcome a newcomer, who is going to be listened to a lot soon. felx feygin grew up in brooklyn new york, and still lives there. about himself he says: äone day i fell in love with jazz, then we got married and had little deep house babies.ô when you listen to this track, you will know what he means! and if that was not already enough, there is a fantastic ôdop -remix. they are responsile for the fresh sound made in france, and brought us a lot of joy with there releases on circus company. and because this trio is something special, the boy sang some lines of the text for this remix themselfes. the outcome is genuine and we are very happy
2011 release, a remix of the hit empire album from the finnish trance duo. in many ways, empire: remixed is every bit as diverse as its original album. jaytechs high-energy house remix of -eternal sequence- adds a groove-fuelled contrast, mrsa aka mat zo transforms the previously downtempo -perfect day- (feat. alyna) into a melodic d&b banger, while maor levis tough, genre-blurring big room rework of -slow to learn- (feat. jan burton) is a clear highlight - confirming the israelis reputation as one of the most exciting producers around right now. anjuna beats.
