nice price deal !!! dan ds 2nd record came into being during dans 2011 summer in berlin. momentos inesquecíveis is portuguese for unforgettable moments. this phrase really hits the head on the nail for a summer of intense and inspiring moments. these moments of sunshine and music were then naturally translated into magical studio sessions. all percussion is played live including cow bells, shaker, wood stick, and analog drum machine programming. since dans first geno release it has been a busy year. dan has been making regular dj appearances in belgium. dan has been become a resident of the audiorama parts at the wood, brussels and additional appearances at the matinee parties in antwerp. a natural friendship grew from a mutual love of music with the matinee boyz. a collaboration between dan d and ward van den bogerd aka veebo (of the matinee parties). dan is also continuing his residency in nuernberg and making several appearances across europe, especially berlin

geno presents its first record from label head, aaron hedges. aaron has been very busy djing in berlins best venues: kater holzig, prince charles, arena/badeschiff, and his bi-monthly residency at klangsuchts gegen kultur party. when aaron is not playing, he is been locked away in his studio working on a full length album and numerous forth coming vinyl/club oriented eps.
the title track, blasta, is a sleek and modern tech house stormer. blasta contains well blended and diverse influences, such as african jazz, jamaican dub, and german and french house. it is this unique and normally disparate genres of music and production styles that makes blasta a unique gem. the b side, collapsed caldera, is a break beat oriented, organic house song. guitar, harp, and vocals gently guide over complex yet natural percussive rhythms.

geno is happy to welcome alland byallo into our family. alland has been gaining strong momentum by already releasing for several labels including poker flat, liebe*detail, and missive. alland is also know for his monthly, techno focused nightclub event kontrol based in san fransisco. alland has also played several international events such as detroits demf movement festival, tokyos la fabrique, brazils d-edge, munichs harry klein, and berlins panoramabar, watergate, bar 25, cookies, and tresor.the >turn you up< ep is a truly versatile ep. the title song, >turn you up<, is a future classic in the making. modern organic percussion, trippy pulsating pads, and subtle organs grow into a sampledelic house gem. the flip side, >blessing box<, is a deeper tech house exploration. atmospheric tones and cathedral reverbs moan and wash your ears into submission. just let go.

the singular threads of the musical fabric that is barrio weedwagon are too numerous and long to trace the beginnings. however, the story does indeed have a start. the spark first took flame on a dance floor deep in the heliopolis favela of são paulo, brazil. after this initial shared out of body experience about 2012, barrio weedwagon can best summed up in these words: emerging from a black hole in the center of the milky way galaxy, the beings who would claim the name barrio weedwagon were awakened. the steady stream of organized radio frequencies from earth became a soothing and yet tantalizing lullaby for our heroes.

geno is pleased to present our second release from jonny cruz. jonny hails originally from san juan, puerto rico but currently splits his time between berlin and miami. you may already know him from his deep tech house releases on cocoon, vakant, dame, and my favorite robot.
the sugar lips ep is a sleek and sexy tech house record made for the dance floor. sugar lips simmers and pulses. these are lips you would not mind kissing. the flip side features lati for another functional yet sophisticated dance floor bomb, alfaguara. transparent and playful synths and a deep organic bass define alfaguara. we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

geno records first release comes to you from belgium based dan d. dan comes from a traditional of both classical and jazz traditions. dan also developed a love of latin dance in his youth. once moving to berlin in 2001, dan was further influenced by the house sounds of the original panorama bar. dan himself has continued on to dj some of berlins best parties/venues including beatstreet, watergate, arena, maria, and the new panorama bar. club der visionäre has also been very important to dans musical growth. dan has had the opportunity to cut his teeth playing 10 hour marathon sets during his regular appearances since 2004. furthermore, he appeared in clubs like rote sonne (munich) and decadance (gent, belgium). friends like tobi neumann and dinky got him into production in 2003. dans first vinyl release on district of corruption lead to praise from some of the best djs in the business. the african market is quite an evolved sophomoric release for dan. the title track, african market, is a pulsating but stripped down organic percussive journey. afro-cuban rhythms lovingly exchange energy with warm analog synths and crisp techno electronic beats. the flip side, el baile, is a slow burning house jam. el baile features eerily reverberated studio recorded vuvuzela, crisply saturated jazz keys, and the same pumping afro-cuban rhythms that sets dans sound apart from others.
