this latest release from hizatron and bashley galvanises the usual wigflexian- gloop with a more industrial edge and a superb implementation of found sounds. a darker pallet underpins the record but this is inverted then lifted with inserts of scattered euphoria. whilst all that is synonymous with the current face of techno lurks consistently in the background throughout, in an almost redemptive fashion, we are hoisted upward from a chromatic descent and set forth onto a crisp, bouncy path peppered with light. the depth of stereo field is utilised perfectly here and the use of dimension is something of a staple for all of those who call wigflex home. hizatron is known for his seamless arrangements, catchy melodies and punchy percussion and this record has that unquestionable tron swagger but the familiar sound is accelerated by new influences from bashley who although a relatively unknown member of the family brings a fresh range of timbres that compliment hizas signature grooves.

it s been a long time coming but now is the time for metamrophic to present out first various artist compilation. this one features 3 up and coming artists, goiz, jem, and jacksonville, as well as one track from label head dan curtin. of course the first compilation from metamorphic had to be called interstellar groove addictions, the unofficial slogan of the label since the beginning. these tracks are modern trips into the unknown, representing the mood of the label perfectly - fierce individuality, evolution in sound, and deeply felt emotional content.

after the sublime triple 12inch re-issue of the sonar bases 4-10 album on deeptrax records, it s now time for the second installment in the sonar base transmissions series: the album dark matter . all 6 tracks were produced by frank de groodt around 2004/2005 and were only released in the inner circle, never released on vinyl. this mini lp still sounds as fresh as it was produced 13 years ago, experimental on the drums and synths. when listening to sonic discharge and velvet sky of sonar 6 , the link with drexciya is easily made. sonar base takes you further into outer space territory with the dark sounds of polygone suffering and the title track dark matter there is the clear idm feel of tracks like meet you at tower 3 on sonar 7 . dark matter is a hypothetical type of matter distinct from baryonic matter (ordinary matter such as protons and neutrons), neutrinos and dark energy. dark matter has never been directly observed, however, its existence would explain a number of otherwise puzzling astronomical observations the mini lp is limited to 400 black versions and 100 on limited edition purple marbled vinyl, pressed by deepgrooves and fully remastered by thee j johanz. you know the drill!!

since day one, alex.do accompanied the evolution of plangent records. he gave his opinion and feedback on the first tracks and was actually living in the same flat as recondite when the label was founded back in 2010. it feels only natural that alex is nailing the plangent mood with excellence on his first appearance on the label by delivering 4 sensitive, gentle, deep and mysterious tracks.

cd included in the vinyl has the same tracklist. a relentless vinyl collector and a fervent connoisseur of anglo-american culture, the founding painter of the figuration libre movement (with di rosa, blanchart and boisrond) in the early 80s, robert combas has always connected his art with rock music. the two are always intertwined and fuel his inspiration. during his exhibition sans filet, robert combas made an essential encounter: the artist and video maker lucas mancione, also from the town of sete, and decided to make the leap. together, at the start of the decade, they created the band les sans pattes. notre renaissance is a dazzling discharge, a geyser of cold and searing emotions, a conscious search for a unique and extreme experience. the tension in each track is palpable, as constant as it is pregnant. this band is full of character. sometimes electronic, often a bit punk, always particularly rock n roll. raw and physical tracks, compact and heady. les sans pattes always lean towards psychedelics and repetition.

apotek records takes a conversant and pliable approach to this dialectic ep. jerome sydenham opens the technological fray with the title track dialectic. deep swinging rhythms coupled with a deeply rooted dub vocal truly define its essential neoteric sensibilities. jerome sydenham s remix of macroisms drone is a prime example of take no prisoners berghain techno pure rumpus. the b-side introduces the sophomore single from hot new berlin talent non reversible. the track kuro is absolutely unapologetic in its discharge of nebulous dark thunder techno. powerful! on the last cut, jerome sydenham gets back behind the splicing desk, breaks out the razor blades and deftly edits the echoplex classic pitch break. the results is transcendent hypnotic techno bliss.

schwefelgelb is the electronic music project of sid & eddy. having carefully straddled the boundaries between techno, ebm and electro, the duo is entering 2016 with a 12” release on the new label incarnation of the berlin based fleisch collective. fleisch consists of a group of miscreants known for throwing some of the best curated dark underground dance parties in berlin, with a focus on sounds ranging from e.b.m., new beat, acid to techno. the metamorphosis of fleisch into a label could not demand a more fitting debut than schwefelgelb’s newest sonic discharge. tight programming, catchy analog synth-bass coupled with well utilized & frenetic shouted vocals echo the golden age of electronic body music. a refreshing progression of sounds moves the style forward without being afflicted with the formulaic and hollow tendencies befallen similar attempts by others acts over the years.

almost two years after his highly acclaimed debut, fabian bussmann is back with a release on debox. and the waiting was worthwhile! sometimes i m invisible is a remarkable piece of work and shows a recognizable advancement in fabians production skills. >or else< on the a- side is predestinated to be played on a big sound system: dark, athmospeheric, reverberated with lots of freaky delays and effects and equipped with a powerful bassline the track creates a tension that will surely massively discharge on the dancefloors this summer. the remix on the b- side was created by bastian buesser who recently attracted a lot of attention with his releases on debox and endlich elektro. buessers interpretation of the track is a deeper, more playful approach of the theme. without touching the basic structure of the track he constructs a more relaxed, athomospheric vibe, taking back the tempo and adding a new bassline to the adaption. the title track >sometimes i m invisible< clearly distinguishes from the the a- side and presents a different side of fabians work coming along with a groovy bassline and lots of percussive elements.
