>gobbldigook< is the spectacular opener of sigur ros recent album >med sud i eyrum vid spilum endalaust<, undeniably one of the most hymnic songs they have written thus far. fellow islanders stephen stephenson aka presidentbongo (of gus gus fame) and jack schidt couldnt resist but to transform the complex, polyrhythmic original into an exceptionally ethereal club track. when the angelic voice of jon birgisson unfolds on a club soundsystem it reallyfeels like you are in heaven. the ultraslim percussion groove takes over the tribalistic atmosphere of the original but catapults it some hundered light years forward into the future. thomas fehlmanns remix on the flipside is nothing short but sensational. we have no clue how he managed to turn this song into a schaffel but we salute him and take this as another unmistakable sign that the schaffelfieber is rising again in cologne, berlin, reykjavik andelsewhere ...

hello and welcome to the new decade. we are kicking off the 10s with a smash from the 00s - as a hinge between the decades, so to say. adas >lovestoned< was everybodys favourite track from her fabulous >adaptations< album, a milestone of romatic techno with vocal support by raz o hara. one of this songs biggest admirers is president bongo of gusgus fame. together with jack shidt he forms the dynamic duo gluteus maximus which already caused a stir with their amazing remix for sigur ros >gobbledigook< on kompakt pop. their lovestoned remix is astounding, too. sex, modern, efficient without losing one gramm of soul. the flipside is taken care of gui boratto who is never far away when techno meets pop in such a sensitive way. his remix makes all great things from the original a bit greater and its pushing the romance factor to the max.

incl jori hulkkonen remix !! anthony gonzalez (m83) enlisted the help of producers ken thomas and ewan pearson. thomas, known for his work with sigur ros, sugarcubes, cocteau twins, suede and clinic cut his teeth on outré acts such as psychic tv and alien sex fiend more than 20 years ago. berlin-based british dance producer ewan pearson, who has worked with tracey thorn, the rapture, and ladytron, came on board to give this record its smooth, modern edge.
