cover not mint - vinyl unaffected. another clr release is due and this time it consists of a powerful remix package for bryan black s new project >black asteroid<. the highly recommendable originals by this unconventional techno innovator have been released as clr 049 and have been sounding frequently on dance-floors all over the planet ever since. two of the three perfectly balanced remixes have been crafted by clr s mastering wizard, renowned live act and busy producer brian sanhaji. his widely known warm and organic trademark sound characterizes both of the versions, giving you the choice between two rhythmically and sonically diverse options for different occasions. dave clarke, who already played an early demo of the engine ep long before it came out, contributed a highly energetic remix for the peak time moments of the night. his take on engine 1 is called >unsubscribe remix< and was produced by himself and mr. jones. the remix takes the essence of the original track and adds clarke s punk attitude in its purest form. though there has been a long studio absence, we are pleased that he took this remix duty. clr is more than happy with this combination of high quality remixes and hopes that you enjoy this memorable release.

mathew jonson’s “decompression” was first released on minus in 2004. to celebrate 13 years since it’s release mathew has commissioned 11 artists to remix this classic split over 4 releases. the first ep of the series features remixes from dbridge, konrad black and nathan jonson, each artists contribution provides a fresh approach to a package fuelled by the influence of drum & bass. dbridge steps up for two remixes, the first is warped and deconstructed, the second a high energy drum & bass belter. konrad black slows things down with a darker groove whilst nathan jonson’s ‘rewind to 96’ utilises rave tropes and chopped vocal samples. the package is a magnificent addition to the legacy of ‘decompression’ and coming next will be remixes from seth troxler, deadbeat, mike shannon and natalia escobar. mathew jonson’s “decompression” was first released on minus in 2004. this is the first release on mathew jonson’s new label entitled “freedom engine” mastered at scape mastering

with the deep circus 011 we present you lilith, a young talented artist from los angeles who delivers an impressive debut on our imprint. raised in several european countries, lilith was exposed to many cultures, musical tastes and traditions. she was classically trained in piano at an early age, and enjoyed a full spectrum of music genres, from classical to punk. a passion for electronic music grew early on and after a move to dublin ireland, she began digging deeper into the music, stared producing and achieved her own unique style, which has been described as a fusion of deep, dark, dubby, and sexy minimal with house/techno rhythms. a kind of style that really hits your ears and brain, which makes us even happier to present lilith engine repair e.p. on our deep circus label. besides the original tracks *engine repair* and *silicone*, the record contains two massive remixes by oliver klein and sweet n candy.

hris liebing and the clr team are very exited about the upcoming release of clr 049. the engine ep by black asteroid is the brand-new project of an artist who has been an unconventional techno innovator and a big inspiration for many years. black asteroid is the brainchild of bryan black, who started his career as a sound designer for prince. while working with prince at paisley park studios, bryan learned and honed sound and production skills, which inspired him to start his own band. he moved to london england and co-founded a band called motor. their first demo was quickly signed to novamute, and after 2 singles, motor were catapulted to the top of the techno world, sharing stages with daft punk and kraftwerk at major festivals, and later embarking on a world tour supporting depeche mode in 2009. in april 2011, bryan decided to start a new project by the name of black asteroid, to showcase an exciting new sound and to re-capture the techno world once more

engine music is delighted to present this next release from german wunder-trio, triad. comprised of henree with releases on soul:r and c.i.a under his belt, bastikal, headhoncho of the much respected phunkfiction label and l flow a classically trained musician and avid analogue synth collector. as triad they belong to the new breed of producers, reexamining the conventions and reinvigorating the experimentation in the dnb genre which has been lacking unitl late. two slices of mature, open minded dnb with spellbound on the a side. a subdued, bass heavy stepper with a naughty bassline switch up. fortune on the flip is a little half tempo number with dubbed out samples and a sultry bassline. or as we like to call it: a slow grinder. fans of the current autonomic sound should not sleep on this! dj support from goldie, teebee, calyx, lenzman and flight amongst others.
