the new dutch imprint central electronics presents orlando voorn aka the stalker on the first release. orlando shows once again his talent to deliver great music in all genres. this time its an superb electro 4 racker!
as one of the first dutch musicians to establish a vital connection between detroit and amsterdam, orlando voorn has long been recognized as one of the netherland’s most original and inventive producers in the world of electronic dance music. voorn began djing at the tender age of 12 and went on to win the dutch dmc dj championships in 1986 with his own characteristic blend of hiphop and electro. towards the end of the eighties he acquired his first sequencer, packed away his turntables and turned his hand to producing.
the second release in ignitor's archives series takes us back to 1994.. again the tracks rainge from detroit techno into the more gray areas between melodic techno and house, a must for fans of red planet and stacey pullen's cosmic messenger work.
2 strictyl dance cuts. boogie knights is that funky pimp sound based on samples and well produced. piano, horns and full guitar and drums. cycle funk is simply a played loop through out the track and is funky delicious!
(basic bastard / baruka / designer loops / dope dog) first ep (of four) of the orlando voorn collected double cd what we believe is the best from the dutch producer in his early days. this ep focuses on the housier side of orlando voorn.
