the final part to the limited edition hi five mobilee! vinyl series features tracks from mobilees head lady, anja schneider, and one of the very first artists on the mobilee roster, sebo k. each of the artists careers have grown and flourished with the label, and whilst retaining many elements from their signature styles, these tracks also show how they have developed their sound over the last five years. sebo ks way back comes with a funky house bass line and colorful synths, creating a very full and warm sound, and one that is topped with an element of old school vibes. as with all of his releases, its classically built for the dance floor and one that will be enjoyed by many. meanwhile, anja schneiders >something left<, has a more minimal and isolated feel to it, broken up with the soulful voice of cari golden. completely contrasting to sebo ks a side, it makes this an interestingly varied release!

the choice of anja schneider for remix duties was an obvious one, the pair first met on a shuttle bus to an event and in short stead paul was co-writing for anja, becoming part of the driving force behind her huge debut album ‘beyond the valley’, now she pulls out all the stops to reciprocate with this standout reworking.
first up on the package is the anja schneider remix of ‘three weeks’, the opening cut from paul’s recent album. here the pair, deconstruct the parts and rebuild things into a deep and hypnotic version that has instant dancefloor appeal stamped all over it. solid, chunky drums rub up against simple spacey synth lines and warm pads to huge effect. bearing in mind the superb quality of the original this is a job well done, and a real addition to this great package.
next we have the original of ‘three weeks’, a track named after the extensive time it took to record. paul had originally intended to record the album in 6-8 weeks, then ended up spending nearly half of his allocated time on this opener. but it has to be said it was worth the effort. this is a slice of solid tech inspired house with subtle vocal elements and a musicality that cuts through the records club based nature. excellent stuff.
finally we have diamant flute, another winner from the ‘me, myself and live’ album. deep and highly engaging this again displays paul outstanding talents as a producer, weaving melodic elements deep into the mix and retaining an incredible underground electronic sound.

“he bleeds stories ep” is the first vinyl release on vraaa records, a techno label with the aim of queering-up the genre. both original tracks contains elements from projekt gestalten’s past original productions clashing with new sounds and being incorporated into a whole new context, like pieces of different stories scattered throughout the music and reconfigured into a brand new tale. each track was remixed by projects with contrasting gender identities: the heavyweight techno duo i/y, representing the masculine side and the fabulous german selector anja zaube, giving a feminine perspective. pressing on pink & black mixed vinyl.

the second vinyl release on new berlin label nemorous records is again by anja zaube, a rising star of the techno underground renown for her sophisticated soundscapes that form a backdrop to intelligent, dark techno sets.

nemorous records is rooted in a techno tradition, albeit eager to grow in all different kind of directions, thus touching genres as diverse as industrial, experimental or even metal. the label is run by veteran dj (and newcoming producer) anja zaube and markus grotmann, who recently started to dj under the dim_light moniker. they both share a powerful vision of the label s overall sonic and visual aesthetic. nemorous records output will be on analog media (vinyl, tape) first and foremost, with digital availability maybe later. the main focus will be on new or lesser known artists in whom both strongly believe, on vinyl format complemented by remixes from more established artists. the first issue is by anja zaube, backed with a remix by jan grebenstein.

the sylvan structure ep is a debut for anja zaube and het at the same time. the sound of this untitled 4-track ep is driven by the vision of deep-dark sonical forests: a 1is taking the dancer from the floor to a far away soundscape. on a 2 anja experiments on the ambient side of sound. raising and boosting until it all sheds. b 1 is definitely located on a forest glade, where you can find the hope, that is needed. the glitchy sound of b 2 together with its’ catchy main pattern is combining abstraction with groove.
