once again danse club records have unearthed a forgotten and sorely overlooked house track here, then they have enlisted a fine pair of contemporary producers -sqim and deepchild - to remix it and bring it right up to date. the original, whos dick is this is a 1994 kicking house bomb by the mysterious princess di, who released but three eps during the 90s on music station with this track being the pick of the bunch. german producer sqim is associated with labels like exploited and play it down and firstly offers up a ghetto mix of the track

earlier on this year andy stott found himself playing on the same bill as new york heavy metal hoarders batillus. despite operating in completely different spheres, batillus had been playing luxury problems, stotts most recent album, on their tourbus and suggested a remix. the result is pressed up on this one-sided 12inch, a deadly reduction that pitches the original down into the abyss. andy stott will be back in 2014 with new material.

new kanada welcomes londons bob bhamra into the chamber, with this two-track breaker from his west norwood cassette library (wncl) guise. >say what?< is a broken sub workout, with a strong nod to the hardcore continuum. distant alarms, aggressive drums, and deep bass drops make this a floor-killer for all sound camps. >flashlight< is an aqueous solution of damp funk that will resonate the head and drop the lights. gaseous and moody. on the flip is a slow burner remix of >flashlight< by adam marshall - sitting somewhere between tired breaks and acid reggae. 11 minutes of moog.
to introduce the album, a fantastic deep-tech -original mix- by the english duo the filthygeeks. then, following the groove, a dance floor anthem, a killer -version- by the famous producers luca m and just 2 working in team to bring to the table their tech style finest sounds.
mix of emotional elements tuned up by serious minimal house beats. the two tracks tell you what! and waiting are different, but the style is obvious. it fits in the new upcoming minimal house music scene in leipzig.
the late 2010 album soulbooster from command strange is now split in two parts for the collectors. plate 2 contains you cant touch this.. command strange takes the vibe down a bit for a vibing deep roller for those special moments.. if r&b could be d&b then this would be its slow jam..for the last side we turn to want you back.. one last time we crank it up a notch with some good ol rolling breakbeats and smooth piano touches.. a brilliant jazzy roller with a vibe like no other
a column of bull ants moves across the rain forest floor, constantly moving limbs shift like the tidal flow of a river. each carries a large bright leaf in its mandibles maybe twenty or thirty times its size. the column swerves around a tendril-like air duct that services a chamber below. one strays too close and slips down still carrying its leaf. it flies down the air pipe and is projected into the interior of an anechoic chamber. beads of sweat ooze down bintus grizzled brow as he continues experiments into noiseless ultra bass. if applied correctly this acoustic energy can have devastating effects.
release number 004 on lokee musik comes from long time collaborator and regular behind the decks at lokee events gavin herlihy. gavins music has been a constant feature on some of underground house and technos most iconic labels since 2006, and were very excited to add him to the lokee musik roster.

absent from the shelves of record shops for some four years, the detroit wax label operated by eddie fowlkes resurfaced in style with last years unsung hero ep. thats what makes a track represents the seventh detroit wax transmission from fowlkes and sees the producer offer up a double does of his own distinct technosoul sound. lead track *thats what i think about* starts with a deep beat and then expands neatly, adding further rhythmic detail and a killer vocal hook: this is what makes a song cool, special. complementing this, *computer* has fowlkes on hypnotic form, mixing deep beats with cosmic sounds which are again elelvated by his usage of vocals...

welcome to the world of magic eye, an illusory duo from leeds experimenting with light and sound. the mystical pairs debut release, inside my love, comes on the legendary house label strictly rhythm. kicking off with plummeting and rubbery kick drums it sucks you down into a warm and inviting place somewhere on the edge of the cosmos. when the dulcet chords of a certain minnie riperton song drop in its pure bliss. wooden percussion clacks away and then the whole thing drops into a serene breakdown complete with heavenly vocals. its a sympathetic re-imagining of a classic track that works to perfection. remix wise the label features interpretations from purp & soul artists harry wolfman & mark wells, plus mike mago.
deep site recordings presents karmine roscianos >sending my love ep<, exclusively on vinyl. karmine is no stranger to deep house fans around the globe with damn fine releases on imprints like um records, incepto deep, and city life. first off on the ep is his original track, sending my love. its a smooth deep funk dancefloor number peppered with groovy guitar, lush orchestral pads, and a sweet female vocal refrain. next up is a melodic and resplendent remix by vincenzo (dessous). placing the vocals more upfront, he then adds a wickedly infectious garage styled bassline and electric piano chords over the original sounds, creating a scorchingly deep track. the third song is another original from karmine, with you. beautiful piano lines coupled with funk bass and guitar flourishes soar over a driving deep house structure that accentuates a percussive discothèque feel. the final tune is a remix from alex neivel (large music/rvs). taking the original elements to a completely new place, alex emphasizes the late night mood with rich floating pads, dark spacey atmospherics, as well as perfectly timed rhythmical pauses.
