with his debut release on co-owned smallville label stefan marx presents an exclusive poster collection coated inside a gatefold 12inch cover sleeve. giving the smallville shop and label a visual face since the very beginning stefan marx created hundreds of posters and partyflyers, painted the shopwindows regularly and set up every single record cover. now its the time for himself to release an extraordinary smallville issue in 12inch format. three posters (each has the size of 90 cm x 60 cm) including a first appearance of his band project the dead sea (aka stefan marx, rvds, lawrence and birte löschenkohl). smallville 25 is a collaboration with nieves, the zürich based publishing house of stefan marx and some all-time favorite contributors such as kim gordon, mike mills, mark gonzales and wesley willis. stefan is working with nieves since 2004, publishing books and zines on regular basis. the smallville release is dedicated to ariel pinks haunted graffiti, probably the best band in the world. (besides the dead sea watch out!)

elcome to smallville, rhythm of paradise. we are big fans of michele lamacchias music since he released paradise on his debut 12 as rhythm of paradise on cosmic rhythm. this track breathens out everything we love about house music- deepest rhythms and dope production, timeless sounds - and the mighty loon. whenever we played this track since it came to light, this was a highlight of the night. we approached michele to send some love for his music and he send over this ep- 3 tracks plus a shimmering remix from his buddy nicola loporchio aka cosmic garden, who is running the cosmic rhythm label. we are delighted to present these as smallville 53, comes with a full cover art by the one and only stefan marx.

due to thyphoon dujuan, move d and his friends benoit bouquin aka initials b.b. & marco wollenberg were trapped in the studio for a few days, when david visited taipei in 2015 to play corner club. all the flights to and from the island were cancelled during the storm, so the three had some extended studio- and red-wine sessions. looking back from now- these were all worth it and the best thing that could happen- 3 hazy and timeless cuts from the eye of dujuan. as always it comes with a stunning full-cover artwork from stefan marx.

one sided vinyl with silkscreened b side, comes in clear sleeve with poster numbered, edition of 350 dreams really come true: when we heard tomemitsu s beautiful lo-fi indie songs on the cassette -m_o_d_e_s- back in 2013 we fell in love! especially the track -in dreams- followed us around for months. humming it in the subway, singing along in the car. many dreams later we found out that our friend and fellow hamburger stefan marx also loves the song and even named an art show after it. coincidence? surely not, so together we made the plan to release -in dreams- on vinyl. luckily tomemitsu himself was very happy with the idea and even allowed rss disco to remix the song. the notorious dj and production trio upped the tempo to head-spinning 99bpm, recorded additional drums & bass and added several minutes of pleasure. finally, the two tracks will be released on vinyl for the first time. screen-printed records, including a poster in a clear sleeve. music by tomemitsu, designed by stefan marx, remixed by rss disco, released by mireia records. it s all a dream!

magical, mystical and straight from the heart: after -until then, goodbye- and -a day in the life- the hamburg based art curator, dj and producer lawrence releases yoyogi park - the third part of an album trilogy for mule musiq in collaboration with artist stefan marx. the album explores unknowingly relations between his very own ambient productions, acoustic sound experiments and the driving force of the dancefloor. the artwork is showing a 360 degree view of the yoyogi park in the heart of tokyo, that stefan marx created for a fanzine for the printed matter nyc book fair in 2015.

there are two front-cover artworks on one record: one by stefan marx, one by alex solman info: back in 2012, benjamin brunn played a heartbreaking ambient liveset at the almighty golden pudel club, hamburg. his set was recorded and released as a cd on pudel produkte. as it was the perfect soundtrack for the lazy days at smallville recordstore, we all felt the urge to release this on vinyl- and during a blurry smallville night at pudel, we decided to do it. benjamin cut out two parts of 20 minutes each and here it is as a limited recordstore day 2015 item. there are 2 front covers on this fullcover sleeve- one from stefan marx and one from alex c.i.a solman, the king of pudel-related artworks and mfoc.

when the smallville record store was founded in 2005, people were surprised and regarded it as an experiment. everybody discussed the downfall of vinyl sales and the upcoming market of downloads these days. just a bunch of people regarded record shops, vinyl labels and wonderful warm sounding clubs as the places of true magic. smallvilles finest stefan marx, who is responsible for all artwork-related things and therefore the visual impact that smallville always had, got a call once at night from another one of those dreamers and activists, ata macias. he came up with the fabulous idea to create a standard 12inch cover saying: vinyl kills mp3.

the cd version will come with a 12-page offset-paper booklet by stefan marx. every producers dream is to one day complete and release a full length album.
