moving to a house formation, the fourth release from midnight shift combines the forces of detroit veteran terrence parker with small german hometowner simon hinter, plus an additional remix by turkish philogresz. covering the spectrum of the ever-evolving genre from classic to techy, jazzy to deep, it’s one for both the recently initiated and original house music lover.

2019 repress! after the first 2 phil releases that both sold out in the first days we have phil 002 ready. jazzy and lush tracks that have a solid drive, but somehow seem to be so fragile that you instantly start to care for these tracks and want cherish them and put them on a special place in your record collection!. better life is probably the track that will turn most heads with its great dancefloor appearance, but lets not forget the other three tracks with their jazzy approach, such as the simply brilliant moody mode.

as the d edge label clocks up release number 24, it turns to the phil hinter ensemble for a fantastic three track package that is filled with fresh house vibes. phil hinter ensemble is a joint project by phil s main pillars philogresz and german simon hinter. they have ties with labels like their own phil, love unlimited vibes and of course d-edge. previous eps have gone down well around the world and simon hinter s smart grooves and sample based fill-ins blends with the wombastic bass and shivering synth lines of philogresz perfectly. up first is the owl, a squelchy, synthetic house track with lively drums and chords and magical trumpets all making for a party starting track. it is perfectly arranged and expertly musical, unlike much of today s plastic and sample heavy sounds. in the air then gets even more playful with glossy synth stabs, rumbling bass and diva vocals all bouncing along in a charismatic style that is full of colour. struggle then gets intimate and final with scurrying little percussive sounds, burst of afro vocal, down low sine waves and icy snares all making for a perfectly seductive minimal techno brew

finnish visual artist and filmmaker hannu karjalainen s music draws inspiration from ambient, drone, modern classical and dream pop. his first album worms in my piano was released in 2007 on osaka records and the second album, hintergarten in 2009 on simon scott s kesh recordings. a handful of dust is a desert, his third album – and the first under his full given name - arrives after a prolonged break.

the lost movie is an outcome of ilkers cinematic perception, approach, interpretation of his constantly intriguing dusty compositions. as a result of his tiring yet inspirational shift over the years, lp has been written in different cities like istanbul, rotterdam, antwerp and the current final stop: amsterdam - different surroundings & moods.
