phreaky minimal bassy monster! growing up in a small town in southern germany, joachim landesvatter s main musical influences came via his older brothers in the form of bands like zz top, lynyrd skynyrd and uriah heep. these narrow boundaries could not contain his ever-evolving tastes, however. he soon found himself enthralled by german acts bap, die rodgau monotones and the scorpions, to name a few. the real turning point came in 1991 when he discovered the techno music being played by local djs in the small, rural clubs in and around his hometown. using techno as a springboard, he jumped ever-deeper into the quickly evolving experimental electronic scene and all of its various permutations
number 25… time to do something special again. therefore we compiled four tracks by artists from our mo s ferry pool on this 12inch. the opening track is >nowhere in kansas< by featured with awesome vocals by abe chapman. after this we have tanaka hideyuki s >let me see< which was released on marcel knopf s -bits to phono mix- cd first. finally, we cut the track on vinyl. the other side is >kick< ed by his fellow countryman hidenobu ito, who debuted for us on fenou03. the mini compilation is concluded by label owner dapayk solo himself with a previously unreleased track named >cleansea<. for the occasion we decided to put the record in a unique stamped cover artwork. it s good to have a touchable medium like vinyl, that offers such a potential..
