track 5, a previously unreleased single meant for >the days of mars< album, but ultimately deemed out of place on the record, begins with the slow reveal of a repeating electronic ring atop a rising, falling, sine-curving synth. with each additional layer—a piercing, urgent synthesizer, a deep, continuous, ever-expanding rumble, the sound of a guitar, awash in reverb—the atmosphere thickens. its both restless and placid, anxious and tranquil. just over ten minutes in length, the track closes with a chorus of high-pitched synths that fade to a sparse, darkened end. this 12-inch, very likely gonzalez and russoms last, also features a remix from Âme, comprised of germanys kristian beyer and frank wiedemann. the house duo wholly transforms the a-side into a track so unrecognizable it seems brand new, taking it far from the introspective dreamworld to a dance party in the sweaty, blissed-out, wee hours of the morning

lcd soundsystem returns with a song written for the soundtrack to the sony pictures film 21. james murphy’s concept of what a big rock song made for a movie could sound like more than a balls-out big rock song, the track delivers in unexpected ways, from the edgy opening two minutes that alone could serve as the score to a car chase, to the sudden explosion of choirs, blissful harmonies, and larger-than-life chorus. babytalk, who has created quite a buzz with two top-notch releases and is currently the toast of underground dance music and disco heads, remixes the track into something seemingly slower and definitely more sinister

somewhere between peaches and metro area this is a really cool record that is super lo fi. nice disco claps and trippy guitar with cowbells. the vocal is very rock, screeching mid way through. flipping over its very electro and minimal with the vocal going spoken word about hits of the 80s. fans of all the current electro clash biz, will totally be feeling this.
