trevision is the rare conjunction of the berlin based acts florian meindl, sierra sam and pascal hetzel in the form of a wild & gear-heavy techno live act. this first release is a result of two techno jams: in the studio and in a club using 2 modular setups, a tr909, mpc1000, delay pedal, analog rytm and moog filter. after a small editing and mastering, here is trevision 01.

in search of the perfect piece of veal to create yet another variation of the schnitzel, we ve sent out a team to new york and followed up on a lead regarding taking us all the way to the vibe alleys of kingston, jamaica. the results are just as confusing as they are satisfying, since it turns out that heat, tranquillity as well as endless traffic jams are all factors accountable for a nice and tender slice of deliciousness. the island s variation of up tempo deep tissue massages, as opposed to the confusingly more laidback style of the new york method both make for a great preparation, and are now served on both sides of this schnitzel before you. as always vinyl only and limited to a number that will most likely serve most of you, but probably not all of you.

for the 10th release ressort imprint have gathered those people on two special 12” who kept the label going or became friends over the time of the label’s existence. the result on the first of the two records is harsh, heavy and dancefloor-approved material.

out of the buoyant melbourne house, disco and edits scene, power cuts kicks off as a sublabel of power station with label boss kris baha joined by some likeminded heads for four varied and generally far out party joints. these are after all eclectic times we live in, and power cuts reflects this by veering from jonny 5 s dense and tense -voices- to the limber afro inflections of dreems -ahead temper-. baha himself delivers the industrialized thrust of -heart of foil- and then otologic finish the record on a jolly note with the charming, synthy delights of -ballada kwasu-.

hard previously unreleased dubplate cuts on side a, i roy vocal & dub on the same rhythm on the b-side! legendary channel 1 dubplate music. this version of -free black man- by earth & stone was scrapped for release in favor of the softer version that eventually appeared on their -kool roots- album, but this heavy cut achieved infamous dubplate status thru play on uk sound systems. in the case of this tune, it seems only dubwise cuts made the rounds, as we ve not heard (or heard of) a full vocal. and like many tunes not pegged for release from back in the day, mixdown masters were never kept, so only dubplates remain to haunt us. here you get two hard dubwise cuts, remastered from dubplate (punters beware!), raw as ever. on the flip side, i roy s vocal, the only released cut on this rhythm, as well as the only released dub, as appeared on the -musical dub attack.-

we are glad to introduce this first flex001 by relative & lazy snail on the dub: in this 12” only vinyl (very very limited) each track is an introspective search of the key sound and of course the right mood. don’t forget the deep inspirations, the rhythm together with the blablabla… and so on… essentially something that makes your body move. the proper vibe for a proper dance.

following our very well received friends series we are happy to introduce our new collection series selected cuts. focussing on new talents also as on excellent producers you might not having on the radar yet. and we were digging deep to bring you new perpectives of deep house and deep techno. soulful as you are used to hear from jeudi rec. a start over. a new series which starts as promising as it could ever start.

back in soviet times when the official local music market was controlled by the biggest record monopoly in history melodiya, many local musicians who wanted to express themselves in actual form, released tapes themselves and spread it through a big underground market network called magnitizdat (short of magnetic tape release). it began in the 60s with soviet rock movement and illegal copies of foreign music which got through border with tourists, seamen and diplomats. in the late 80s you could find there many different shades of music from underground protest rock, post punk, avant-garde to a lot of electronic pop, local kind of italo disco and dj s mixtapes with a personal rap on top of it. plus seven records begins a sublable series of remastered edits which narrate about dance part of this story.

for the second release, the artist kaelan joins the ranks of the squad of shaw cuts with the ep ‘the silent swordsman’. equipped by his sharp stabbing weapon and a mysterious fighting technique taught by the head chief of the sun moon sect master wu himself, kaelan strikes out to hunt. not hectic but silent, so watch your back!

doc severinsen is an accomplished american jazz/pop trumpet player, and as a band leader gained considerable notoriety on the tonight show with johnny carson. like most musicians in the 70s, doc took his shot at the disco and funk sounds of the time, gathered stellar musicians, and released impeccably sounding works. two of these cuts, be with you and shine on me are featured on this release. harvey s unfailing magic touch has yielded two dj-friendly edits with a lot of punch and galactic energy, yet with a velvet undertone. staying true to the mission, the label took great care throughout the production process in order to preserve the quality of the original recordings.

kicking of 2015 in class, pathway traxx brings you this delicious (or should we say deelicious) dose of disco and raw house grooves. following our well honoured tradition, we have worked hard to unearth some fresh up and coming talent, and they definitely step up to the mark with this ep.

shaw cuts enters the site of crime with its first release called ‘have sword, will travel’. the ep includes 4 techno assassins – two tracks by the label founder himself lachriz, who introduces his shaolin moniker ‘farron’ and 2 remixes by the argentinian boxer jonas kopp. ‘equinox’ opens the slaughter with shaking break-beat punches in combination with atmospheric pads surrounding the drum jabs. ti lung would have been pleased. the track ‘apo-g’ comes in sly and chases the enemy with dirty drums and menacing distorted sound spheres that will morph the bad guys into dead guys – throwing star style. the b-side gets taken over all the way by jonas kopp, who brings up two different remixes of ‘equinox’ that can easily cut off the rival’s extremities like a sharp guillotine. and the carnage just begun

club cuts is the new release by gummihz. it features two dancefloor heavy tracks spanning from acid to dub house/ techno. on side a, aacid patch, is a serious dancefloor weapon with a characteristic killer tb 303 bassline and airy jazz piano licks, produced back in 2010. 8am groove, on the flip, is a dub cut that, in typical gummihz finese, rolls effortlesly between detroit house and techno. an excellent record cut for the dancefloor!
