shaw cuts enters the site of crime with its first release called ‘have sword, will travel’. the ep includes 4 techno assassins – two tracks by the label founder himself lachriz, who introduces his shaolin moniker ‘farron’ and 2 remixes by the argentinian boxer jonas kopp. ‘equinox’ opens the slaughter with shaking break-beat punches in combination with atmospheric pads surrounding the drum jabs. ti lung would have been pleased. the track ‘apo-g’ comes in sly and chases the enemy with dirty drums and menacing distorted sound spheres that will morph the bad guys into dead guys – throwing star style. the b-side gets taken over all the way by jonas kopp, who brings up two different remixes of ‘equinox’ that can easily cut off the rival’s extremities like a sharp guillotine. and the carnage just begun

shaw cuts is happy to welcome a new face to the label squad: lazarus, a young producer from nuremberg, yields the perfect soundtrack for ‚the magic blade‘ with his debut record. the story begins with another clash between arch-rivals fu hung hsueh and yen-nan fei, two of the country’s most skilled swordsmen, both on a quest to number one. ‚rhea’ sets the perfect tempo for the duel with its heavyweight drums, revolving percussion and energetic pads. clanking swords are interrupted by the arrival of shady company – followers of the mysterious underworld swayer sent by master yu who wants yen-nan fei’s head. fu hung hsueh and yen-nan fei join forces, slaying the villains in seconds. ‚reverof nema‘ rolls in, its commanding rhythm and moody chords giving the swordsmen new force and vitality. yu wants to eliminate the swordsmen so that they never gain possession of the peacock-dart, an indestructible weapon with thanatophoric effects and the object of yu’s desires. but fu hung hsueh and yen-nan fei have already picked up the scent. bloody battles follow against more of yu’s entourage. the race against time is led by the energetic synth delirium and savage drums of ‚casio flex‘, leading hsueh and fei safely to the sublime weapon. the duo journey on, defending the peacock-dart until they reach yu’s temple. the final showdown. ‚overcome’ and its warped groove, warm synths and thundering drums bring master yu to his knees and the netherworld. but who was master yu? was it you? the myth lives on…

shaw cuts is happy to present its third release, which includes 4 tracks produced by farron under the title ‘death duel’. the story of this chapter is simple: the third master is respected as the unrivalled and undefeated swordmaster of the day. his strength and skill saw many opponents who sought to slay him and win his title. all failed. there was only one rival who might sever his crown. it is only a matter of time until the ultimate duel… ‘we don’t make no sense’ rings in combat with a dirty break-beat drum pattern combined with deep, melancholic pads, circling the scene before one of the masters makes the first attack. warmer in tone, ‘tangency’ is the first intermission, a lull in bloodshed and impending annihilation. short-lived… the b-side brings back battle mode with ‘centro’, a rough and rolling thunder with churning synth action and distorted drums. the duel ends with ’par 2’, its sharp percussions, goliath bass drum and spheric pads reverberate victory. an open breast and sword glazed red. fatal hemorrhage…
