worship recordings with another solid ep release, this time featuring cuts from chris udoh and gary beck. udoh is up first with >hear da muzik<, a driving house gem with a definite dubby flavor, as delays are left to run over solid drum patterns, strong chords, and a rumbling bassline. on the reverse, gary beck keeps the dubby house theme rolling with >stick to the reggae<, which has more of a skank to its rhythm, as dubby delays are again left to exploit stellar percussion, stabbing horns, and a wandering bassline.

the saqqara ep is a multilayered, sonic canvas from the mind of chris barratt, as he launches his new alias, baratt, for life and death. fine brushstrokes move from all areas of his musical hideout, spreading over five, varied, aural sculptures, each one warping and weaving on its own cosmic trajectory. pooling from key aspects of his eagles & butterflies project, barratt induces new musical shades, hinting at moments of disco and funk, through a lens of psychedelia. the title track is a late-night floor-filler - a bold yet uniquely personal necropolis built from riveting delays and arpeggiators. time bending sees dj tennis join in, stepping up with his trademark, rough around the edges production aesthetic, en route to unknown destinations. barratt hones-in on a confident, stripped-down style on khaos - rhythm versus melody just in time for festival season. 1983 soundtracks a ride to utopia on a rocket-fueled vespa, leading to collider, the land of un-quantised madness, where the most treasured of synthesisers live amongst their drum machine counterparts. flowing yet incredibly interconnected, saqqara is best interpreted as a mini artist album - the first of many barratt offerings.

lottus got this deep and old school flavour touch, driving and sweat at the same time, this one is for franck the highlight of his new ep,so no big words on this one. it s a lottus love affair here. air is a cosmic journey into franck s synthetic drum sounds, passing thru his famous space echo 201 made back in the days by roland..the machine got some natural errors and goes with the tape delay feelings.. it s all about movements and space rythms here.christal is using the famous 909 drum machine and 808 toms.. this one goes very deep into our mind with strange vocals wich franck got the secret to play with, it s a sentimental and emotionnal song, cute for some people but very relaxing after all to complete this ep.my name is was originaly out on franck s realtone records imprint. it came out with two different versions.the track received some good feedbacks and plays so far and our dear friend berlin based alexkid came back to us with his own edit and we definitly loved it but we were very busy with the releases.. this edit has been lost in our hard drives and now franck is more than happy to give it a new life.

the sixth release in this series of eight opens up with alexander kowalskis remix of lydia to the edge of panic on the a-side. kowalskis version is a pounding techno monster, with a heaving baseline and delayed chords, hinting at a more sinister dimension beyond the edge of panic. trolly routes (aka. oscar mulero) remix of miscellaneous pt. 7 on a-2, lulls and hypnotizes with an acid-tinged interpretation of the original track, that nods to the plus 8 school of techno. the b-side kicks off with jeff rushins remix of little green apples, pairing the spacious and beautifully gloomy background atmosphere of the original track with a heavier version of its rhythmic framework. the final track gives us the re-mastered original version of confort corpse, which displays christian morgensterns uncanny dedication to exploration and his love for the 80s.

hannover based imprint yippiee return with the outstanding come with me ep this august by manuel moreno, backed with remixes from label owners filtertypen and normen hood. this release follows the success of yippiees treibgut sonder kompilation which featured cuts from deepnhouse heavy hitters chris lattner, moritz piske, patlac and gorge to name a few. now the german imprint deliver this four track single from swiss producer manuel moreno whos releases on 8bit and dj sets at space and privilege (ibiza) have earned him a highly praised status in the underground. title track, come with me, opens the release, encompassing a boomy kick drum, tight drum programming and ethereal atmospherics to create a deep and dark distinctive quality. the inclusion of a gritty sub bassline further fuels its murky progressive vibe, while the introduction of a soulful vocal hook and bright string melodies adds a lighter touch to the composition.label owners filtertypen opt for a less is more approach to their remix of come with me. stripping back the atmospherics to a more dismantled state, the duo-apply punchy drums and a warbling sub-bass,resulting in a smooth rolling groove that runs steadily for its duration. the cut comes into fruition threeminutes in when the pair bring in an amalgamation of deep strings, synth shots and delayed fx, finely placedto create an expansive dynamism. hello bernhard employs deep worldly percussion as its driving force, while guitar licks and warm chordscreate undeniably beautiful imagery. moreno demonstrates his ability to manipulate melodies with precisionhere, introducing several elements to play off one another in a call and response fashion. last up on the wax release is im sorry, a solid slice of house built around rolling toms, sawtooth bass notes and trippy vocal murmurs. manuel utilizes heavy delays and big room reverbs to create cavernous effects in the breaks that adds an incredible weight when the preceding groove is brought back in. to close the release normen hood offers up a remix of hello bernhard as a digital bonus. applying deep house tactics, hood plays on warm piano stabs and brass hooks that deviate around the tight-knit drums for several minutes creating an epic rework.

fanatico is a new project of mathias schaffhäuser and vocalist jorge socarras (macro music / compost rec.) from new york. >tessio< is the first single of a collection of tracks which will be released as an album later this year. composed and released by luomo (a.k.a. vladislav delay) in 2000 on force tracks, this song was always one of schaffhäusers favourite minimal house tunes. the track comes with fabulous remixes by kink (ovum rec., rush hour, modelisme) and m.in featuring chriss vogt (yellow tail, desolat, get physical, mothership).

marc miroir teams up with andreas henneberg (voltage music), >faces< is the first single release of marc miroir s debut album >hitting home< and already djs secret weapon. the result of this killer collaboration is an exquisite tech-house floor-bomb with the miroir typical deep groovy bassline, most serious flutes, strings and delayed percussions.
