the fx mchn has unplugged itself from the london housing trust offices just long enough to run off these three documents for narrow gauge. art 2 mouse starts with a gritty, little drum box punching way above its weight before the heavy machinery rolls in for reinforcement. mono life slows the tempo with a close-up shot of the intricate interlocking cogs of an fx mchn track. on the flip side we move to a wider-screen format for a helicopter ride over the oil-drum beats and tribal chants of no place to go .

for the first time in too long, influential visionquest founder, dj and producer shaun reeves is back with a new ep. this one - the label’s 50th, no less - comes in collaboration with acclaimed italian house producer tuccillo, features two essential new tracks and comes with a fantastic remix by dorian paic. shaun has released on the likes of crosstown, wolf + lamb and catwash and has worked with art department and dj w!ld, but here it is well informed house man and 2020 vision and holic trax associate tuccillo that is his musical paring partner. together the pair really hit it off with some truly infectious club tracks.

the original opens with a field recording intro followed shortly after by heavy bass shots and a pulsating kick drum. snare patterns and an underwater synth melody hit the speakers with an abstract touch, while halfway through the pace changes with a new bass coming in. an experimental and brave track, it reflects idriss djing style and his long sets, going into different mental spaces, a wavelike combination of beats and up&down rhythms. eduardo de la calle s trademark analog sounds fill his tribute remix with acid keyboards, rim shot grooves, industrial noises and metallic vibes, swinging with a rolling bass line and bringing the original percussions to the fore.

after more than a year in the making we are almost ready to release the final chapter in psychemagiks magik series. due to incredible responses from the artists we contacted we ended up with more tracks than we needed for one album so it was decided to release magik sunset in two parts. both albums contain yet more of the long lost and obscure tracks that the previous compilations have presented and part one is now available on double vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

cristian vogel is a long-term innovator in the composition, mixing and performance of electronic music. spanning over two decades at the vanguard of european electronic music, his work has been acknowledged as an outstanding influence in the fields of composition for stage, club culture and studio. this is the first vinyl release of material from the archive remasters project. the project was successfully crowd-funded in december 2014 which enabled the establishment of edition cristian vogel, an edition handling the restoration and remastering of a large part of cristian vogels hard-to-find and unreleased productions dating back to the early 90s. the 1994 ep features a beefed-up remastering of the classic time originally released on his 1995 album absolute time on tresor. you will also find a rare proto-minimal track from the vinyl only artist in charge of expert systems ep originally released on mosquito records. scorpio and alien conversation are taken from his debut album originally released on mille plateaux in 1994. all tracks were remastered and cut from original dat tapes in february 2015 by manmademastering
