incl rmxs by sascha dive & s catt!! it seems almost ridiculous to refer to zoe xenia as a label regular, when we are only on release number 12. maybe? but zoe is without a doubt, one of the our key artists. zoe first featured on bass culture with her >let the music play< ep in december last year, and whilst it may have been only our 4th release, it was somewhat of a definitive one..
58 minutes of proto house, denizen loops, far flung folk, post punk, cosmic rock and other junk. after forging new ground with his previous sonic hotchpots >miscellaneous mutant mishaps< and >the exploding disco inevitable<, dom thomas returns with another brain melting audio escapade into the ether. the third album in his dynamic anti-mixtape series on brutal music is salubriously entitled >synthetic soul & other junk<, giving thomas free license to curate a mood that takes the unsuspecting listener on a cascading journey of edits and loops, blurring the lines of traditional dj mixes and original compostion. >synthetic soul< is composed of a variety of genres from >international disco frankenstien< thomas musical heritage, warping together vastly disparate records into a rich sonic tapestry. repeated listening recommended with or without substances...
taken from the second artist album from label boss mazi aka audio soul project spread over 2 vinyls. the first 150 copies of each come with a free graphic novelette aka a short comic.
we bring you a special one this time: >got a soul< is a rework of todd terrys classic >house is a feeling< that has been brought right up to date by warren fellow & michel steinbach who have done an amazing job of giving this track everything it needs to rock the dancefloors of today whilst still keeping the infectious funk of the original.
we think its time to bring back that old skool house groove of yesteryear !
supported by: angel molina, david mothersole, dj tlr, paul woolford, simbad, jörn werner, franck roger, fabrice lig, will o brien, hakim murphy, esther duijn,.. >my electronic soul< is probably one of franco cangellis most personal tracks. slow and almost sensual 909 drums create a sonic canvas on which soulful pads and elegant melodies create a timeless electronic ballad reminiscent of early chicago deep house combined with the melancholy of detroit. as the title suggests, this track pretty much exposes francos true roots and is an ode to those long lost and almost forgotten days. >house for brunch< is another deep house offering with more detroit melodics

reach out from your soul... as summer is winding down for some, we are looking to continue to keep the heat coming! sole kitchen is back with the 2nd installment of pure deepness on the seasons limited imprint, which is packed with some of the worlds present and future stars. sole kitchen returns home to seasons limited and brings us a beautiful vocal titled >from your soul< which is remixed by the almighty alton miller that gives it his signature deep treatment. next up we have called upon some of south africans rising stars dj bullet & souljunky as they take us on a journey through deep chords, dirty basslines as one marches all night to there drums. if that was not enough we have added a extra bonus from sole kitchen which is a remix of a tune release back in 2004 and produced by jamie thinnes titled >my dreams< release on seasons limited. enjoy the music and remember to always play it loud
croatian nu-disco/funk/boogie overlord ilija rudman has swung by around here. once more he is spinning his audio gems on the legendary bearfunk label. this time is the ever so funky new release soul embrace . ilija gets his niles rogers hat on and peppers this sparkler with chingy-funk guitar. add in some big rolling, dx-style, chugger bass and lashes of darting percussion and there you have it...floor-filler dynamite. the original mix and the spectacularly 80 s styled extended mix make an appearance. our man also goes straight for the beat jugular with his drum, beat and percussion heavy bonus beats mix. to round things off, label head bear, stevie kotey, takes on the remix duties. he brings some real bass along to the party and new layers of slick keys. turning down the floor quotient just a notch, this one is pure slow-burn disco done well, very well.
debut single from james teej (rekids / my favorite robot) in collaboration with aaron santos on parquet recordings. atmospheric & melodic 10 minutes anthem! including a brilliant nhar remix!
randalls mac 2 recordings showcases another banging release with the return of fast moving breakthrough artist soul intent. having all ready featured on the label on the 17th release back in 2008 and on the recent justice league ep soul intent returns once again to show us how rolling drum n bass should be done. the a side >rebel music< punches through with razor sharp breaks that bring the track to some seriously sub low basslines. haunting vocals lead through the track introducing some seriously deep fx and strings that make this track one stone cold killer. the flip >cybergroove< makes for a more upbeat affair but certainly shows soul intents versatility as an artist. percussion lead breaks and some haunting strings cut into a bassline that punches its way throughout the track before cutting into a fx lead breakdown. dj support from : randall, ai, klute, doc scott, survival, fabio, crissy criss and eveson radio ? bbc 1xtra and kool fm

killer deep house release on ripperton s perspectiv label. up and coming artist st blomb with a epic building track with a tribal feel to it and an almost cosmic psychelic synth line. one of those tracks that takes things to another level once played at the right moment! soulphiction taking things back to the floor and keep them feet moving by added a warm blanket of chords and lush grooves. and jackmate turns precious soul into a proper dj tool adding some chicago flavors, immediately resulting in raving feedback and chart positions with several key players and german groove magazine. nice one!

a limited edition latin soul brothas fusion rework session! 1st is a remix slept on by maws louie vega (who waited too long to put it out), a rendition of hector lavoes >mi gente< that is absolutely amazing. on the flip, santanas >dance sister dance (baila mi hermana)< gets reworked for a big dancefloor tune. highly recommended!
the paso label return with a head turning pair of remixes from anja schneider and steve lawler that are set to feature on sebroks upcoming artist album the pain. this is a pile driver ladies and gents, this is big show!
quality extended player from smooth agent records featuring dope cuts from the uks nebraska who brings the super sick green marimba thats as much house as it is dirty tech, james blackstar johns techers untitled, & south africas blaq soul who finishes the 12 inch with down to my root.
there was no doubt that label boss fred everything wanted to get his hands on the remix, taking a similar approach to his recent juno-chart-topping disco remixes of hot toddys down to love for oms sub-label smoke & mirrors. fred ups the tempo a little but instead of going the 4/4 route,he uses a laidback, almost freestyle beat over a crisp production. this is house-not-house at its best!also included is the bonus track from blacklodge called >broken promises< which shapes up as another late night monster.early support from danny krivit, mark farina, tortured soul, nacho marco, franck roger, lovebirds..
great 12 inch of edits and original tracks from clause four (dc, jahtari). a man to watch, his sound is big and this release showcases his skills to a tee.

this summer seems to be the return of fabrice lig with his album on fine art, 12on r&s and this great third ear release with remixes by... underground resistance timeline (mike banks and jon dixon), luke slater, marco passarani and fluxion! slater delivers hot techno action... peak time big room sound that will get the hands up, nice job! ur delivers the hi-tech soul techno and is unique and special as always. passarani delivers some old school detroit influenced beats refering to the hay-days of kms and kevin saunderson. could easily be our favorite mix on this 12! fluxion drops some smoking hot dubby techno. total winner remix package!!
ndatl continues with a new amazing song created by the minds of justin chapman & terrance downs. the original catches you with its stand up bass & latin rhumble, while mr chapmans guitar serenades you. then terrances vocal then brings a whole other dimension to the song. then dj spinna get his hands on it and lets his galactic soul tranform i got life into a deep floor burner. and if that wasnt enough two crazy dubs by spinna & kzr!
20th episode of soul access coming from land of the rising sun japan and dj tearz aka noriyuki oshida, owner of life on records, tokyo based techno label.
the 2nd release of canadian producer basic soul unit on mule electronic. bsu have released from such an excellent label like a versatile, philpot, ostgut ton. title track of >night heat< on a side is a melodic and playful detroitish house track. on the b side, we invited our favorite underground house producer >fred p aka black jazz consortium< to the remixer. he almost cutted off the melody and made more dj tool version. it fits perfectly for dark club. if you like the sound of >underground quality< release or that kind of house music, you will definetly need to check!
first on decks.de !!! madrid based jesus gonsev from the troubled kid camp appeared somewhere around 2008 on our radar but has been djing in spain and outside and being also part of the renowned deephouselovers collective for the past 10 years. after his debut (>manhattan wax<, together with dj ino) on progcity last year, he is now back with a super versatile four tracker all produced by himself. we are sure you will recognize the typical gonsev-touch on all these tracks, something you won t hear anywhere else. it may be the use of the strings or the warmth of the pad sounds, it sure makes you feel good to listen and dance to it. additionally >peanut butter pie< vocals performed by vincent inc. supported by ray okpara (oslo, cecille), llorca, brother s vibe,....
