the a side kicks off with the highly anticipated release of party all night from french producers bobby and klein, chanting we gonna party all night over an infectious groove that kicks things off proper! the a2 follows party all night with nashvilles real time hand motion hitting us with their amazing honey tune. all the trademark rthm cuts, edits, and vocal bits come together to deliver a funky analog bassline jam with a really unique dancefloor jam. on the flip, mebourne, australias d t3ch turns in the gorgeously funky meerkat music, a tune thats been killing danceloors and a vocal that puts a smile on everybodys face. not to be missed! and last but not least, label bosses the sound republic deliver a tongue in cheek tribute to jason hodges with a chopped up tracky jam that jacks through rolling pianos, xylophopne backed with a bass bit that is humanly impossible not to dance to. all in all, the 4 piece set ep is kicking off the new year in style!

in the year of punk 1977, the jams exploded onto the music scene with this seminal debut album. the raw, unfettered aggression of the bands approach was well in keeping with the spirit of the times, but the heart of their songs and sound lay in the mod movement of the mid 60s. singer/guitarist paul weller comes off like a cross between joe strummer and the young pete townshend, bashing unreservedly through slow down, one of the r&b tunes that inspired the original mods. weller extols the virtues of frenzied dancing and nonconformist youth culture over the raging three chord attack of bassist bruce foxton and drummer rick buckler. the pure punk insouciance of his words and delivery is a perfect match for the raging but hooky arrangements, which basically consisted of the band walking into the studio and blazing through their live set. rickenbacker guitars never sounded so thick, and skinny ties never seemed less geeky.

the first in a two-part sampler series from the sound republics highly respected chicago-based spatulacity. the a-side kicks off with a funky-as-hell piano jam by hollands tommy largo with a killer bass groove that is certain to get dancefloors whipped in to a frenzy, and the a2 delivers just as well. >barnyard announcement< by melbourne, australias house prodigies lamanex is a pumping, funny tongue-in-cheek jacker that bounces relentlessly and has been drawing incredible reactions from dancefloors worldwide! flip the record over and check chicago newcomers scrubfish laurences >disco papacy< cut for maximum booty-swhaking satsfaction! this track has it all: interesting drum breaks and super-crisp beats, chopped-up instrumental bits that kick the energy up further, and an unforgettable vocal. last but not least the uks sound diggers turn in a fantastic deep-but-still-jackin tune that really rounds the record out with the funky horn and guitar bits sitting on top of a great groove.

big support from dave clarke, mandy, the hacker, kiko, karotte and dibaba!! since the beginning of the 1990,s, frank kusserow has been amongst the djs of the frankfurt nightlife, with guest appearances in the omen or in the u-bar of u60311. >atomsplit< catapults the machines towards a furious, energy-laden and noise-oriented tour de force, which in its constant progression has more than a meaningful effect on the dance floor. in conclusion, the more hypnotic >the core< transports a psychoactive ‘,synthesizer fantasy’, with a brilliant lift-off break in the present time. two uncompromising kusserow tracks

when i first started making the drum on my mpc it sounded like a battle of drums i then added some stabs from the machines, trying to make it sound like the oldschool chicago tracks. this track is all about editing, drum programming and of course the inimitable tap repeat touch that only the mpc can generate. the end result is ninted house, a pure floor killer for all you real house heads. the clash is not a reference to the band but i felt the track goes well with ninted house it has the same mpc groove. stabs and hip hop sampled voices that remind us of those kind of tracks, where editing and sound mixing are more important than the musical elements. its that breadth in house music that i love. enjoy those two floor killers and dance ur ass off! franck roger
suppported by perc (kompakt, perc trax), ivan smagghe (blackstrobe/fabric/killthedj), greg delon (boxer, confused), blood&tears (karateklub), pierce (blufin, mbf), terje bakke (lordag) and many more.. seit 1998 produziert off pop tracks im weiten feld von tech house mit elektro einflüssen. mittlerweile findet man seine tracks auf labeln wie wmf und traumschallplaten. zweites release auf dem berliner label popnorama

its almost 4 years to the day that jeff samuels >throatwobbler mangrove ep< was released on karloff #03, and even today the four world hits of the record are getting digged out by djs, when the minimalism needs to either groove or jack again. so now with >return of the throatwobbler< theres finally an appropriate follow-up by the man from seattle.. erm.. berlin, after he’s impressively run riot in the meantime, on labels like spectral, trapez, poker flat, frankie and logistic. the a-side >terso< is shuffling and twirling and bouncing in such a winsome way that not many can master like jeff samuel. almost like an electric ray - left and right and left, and without letting any tempting gimmicks take the mind off the straight path. appropriately enough, >the spook< on the b-side comes along a bit more spookily, with a bassline twisting into the brain, ripped up by miniatures of bleeps and chords just in the right moments, and thus leading the track to an agile, exhilarated climax
