the first collaboration from seasoned chicago electronic artists k-rad (chris grabowski) and opcode66 (todd mariana), kno-001 is a deep and techy ride through space and sound. *from dark to light* offers a tasteful, musical journey geared toward experienced listeners and late night party people. reminiscent of watching the night sky transform into sunrise, *from dark to light* captures and explores this glorious experience. with simple, driving bass, an edgy monosynth riff and well-crafted sounds, strings help carry the piece through its musical transition as it builds and ends with great energy. *dream about* subtly addresses concepts of isolation and futility as realities. listeners may contemplate the relationship between reality and dreams (and the necessary functions of each) while immersed in slowly-evolving melodies. with many incidental sounds worked into the fabric of the piece, simple and satisfying percussion, and lush effects trails, *dream about* playfully and defiantly transfigures reality into something dream-like.

an entirely new label with fresh artists from any direction. both tracks compiled on this release are deep and spheric in their mood, similar in style, but rather different and special in their shapes of individuality. the a-side delivers a slightly straight and powerful track from alma. carried by soft moog-basses and playful spheric breaks in addition to an authentic summer groove it is definitely suitable to create open-air feeling - a glistening interpretation of a green morning. gebby dibson contributed an emotional and slow house production to the b-side of this release. in so doing, they patterned pretty versatile varieties of electronic styles. in this case its hard to classify, but joyful to listen to… just beautiful.

george k, dj and producer, born in 1981, based in milan. his first steps in music date back a long time, when he began taking an interest in mixing and scratching techniques. his roots are hip hop and reggae, but in a short time thanks to breakbeat (rockit - herbie hancock) he abandoned that sound for experimentations in electronic music: techno was love at first listen, detroit and acid above all. with the passing of time he has begun to dedicate himself as much as possible to productions using synth and drum machine. now he has begun his new venture as owner/manager of his label fu.me where he will focus his work on promoting new and old sounds - without forgetting his roots - offering bad and dirty sounds .

making a clean break with the poisonous digital dubstep rhythms in his first ep, dogboy’s basement to the attic is an fearless musical odyssey where the confines of this world end in intriguing organic sounds. in a way that wishmountain or burnt friedman would, dogboy scrutinizes the boundaries between experimentation and pure dance music. using recordings made in the different rooms of his family home, the four tracks on the ep start with laying down the subtitle emotional cool yet wobbly riddim card on the table, before gradually rising the subs and the pressure into a rave like burst of pride. futuristic, organic, progressive and utterly baffling, what makes basement to the attic so successful is it is purely unique.
