if there is one album that we would take with us an a desert island its this one. the worst of krtm is one of the most refreshing records we have heard in a long time. perfectly blending industrial techno and hardcore to one unique beautiful/terrifying work of art. we could almost write a book on how unique and great this album is but lets just stop here and let the music do the talking. all hail krtm!

through the sparkle is a collaboration between french ensemble astr•d and american pianist and composer rachel grimes. rachel grimes is best known for her chamber music project rachelÕs, a hugely influential group formed in 1991 in louisville, kentucky, releasing six studio albums between 1995 and 2005. she has also released a string of contemporary classical works in recent years on labels such as temporary residence. astr•d is a collective of four musicians based in nantes, releasing records on rune grammofon and home normal. after years of mail and email back and forth over the ocean, from nantes to kentucky, astr•d invited rachel to come for a residency to make music together and play shows in france. they gathered for a few days, here and there, in 2012 and 2013 to write songs in cyril and vanina s home studio in the countryside.

claude debussy (+1918) was one of the most popular and forward thinking composer associated with impressionist music. his innovative and at this time new way to compose music with non traditional scales and chromaticism inspired countless artists from the likes of steve reich, philip glass, miles davis and herbie hancock. remarkable attributes of his music were i.e. the usage of parallel chords, bitonality and many compositions of whole-tone and pentatonic scales and all this surely reminds us on contemporary electronic music where you hardly find limits or boundaries when it comes to traditional, harmonic sounding scale tone music. after studying countless composers of the last centuries marc romboy decided to accept the challenge to edit, remix and reconstruct several works of his favorite french composer, ranging from ãla merÒ to -prŽlude � l aprŹs-midi d un fauneÒ. romboy: ãone sentence of debussy impressed me a lot when he said that he simply intents to write new sounding music. this is and has been exactly my goal, to create kind of unheard soundsÒ. on the album romboy performs together with the dortmund philharmonic orchestra, the renowned conductor ingo-martin stadtmźller, the well respected dźsseldorf based concert master miki kekenj and sound programmer ali khalaj. the recordings was directed december 12th 2016. its the first live recording ever released on an album where electronic sounds and classical components were merged in such manner.

mere is a new project that began as a soundtrack and continues as an experimental, dark-ambient jazz group. guitar, drums and bass clarinet provide an intense and improvised journey into the abyss. the trio first came together to work on a soundtrack for a dutch tv documentary called visserman. having known each other for some time this was the first time they had combined together to write music and the name mere comes from the dutch word for more. each member adds a different influence to the sound, the modal finger picked guitar playing of thomas adds a sense of movement while gareth takes both folk and free jazz ideas to play against leos free rock influenced drum work. the tracks were recorded all in single takes with just a quick discussion of outline and tuning as a basic guide. gareth davis records on important, miasmah, sonic pieces, dekorder, home normal etc. collaborating with machinefabriek, steven r. smith, scanner, frances marie uitti, ryan teague, elliott sharp, ian hawgood and the like. leo fabriek releases on digitalis, home normal etc. and is also the drummer with the noise rock band julie mittens.
