the third release on the emergent dreamtime label finds bobby bricks and miskotom sharing precious wax space with their own takes on laid back balearic house. bricks is up first, laying down a laid back house chugger propelled by fluttering synth lines that have spent time soaking up plenty of vitamin d. amazon blue does away with the drums for much of the tune, letting the new age synth tones do all the work before a mellow set of percussion comes loping in. miskotom has a more nocturnal feel at work on star master, but it s no less plush in its execution, while ad lucem ramps up fretless bass licks and plastic flute tones for another blissful excursion onto the astral plane.

bobby b (a.k.a andre ferreira) is perhaps best known as bobby browser, as he is previously issued a pair of eps for the 100% silk label under that name. those records were excellent, but its fair to say that his icee hot debut finds ferreira exploring a richer, deeper sound. >history< is slow-burning deep house jaunt that subtly nods to detroit along the course of its soul-drenched journey. >so true< warms things up, but only slightly, as its relaxed tones, warbling melodies, and loosely stitched breakbeat offer a blissed-out path to the dancefloor.

bobby o donnell, it should be noted, really brings his agame to the table on the release. much like the title suggests, its an ep thats full of lucid moments, with blissful moments of tranquility wonderfully rubbing shoulders with more introspective and melancholic fare throughout.
