>esta si esta no< by the glimmers featuring baby g. is a cover version of one of the biggest euro rave anthems from the early nineties originally written and performed by spanish superstar dj chimo bayo. beautiful baby g (from lsb fame on eskimo recordings) took the vocals for her part whilst half of the glimmers house band disko drunkards are playing the instruments on this quite original adaptation. this release features three remixes. glimmers favorite german fella daniel haaksman (from berlin based man recordings) goes favella funk style with a very catchy sax hook and the amazing in flagranti is doing with the track what they can do best, making it very synthy disco sexy.. they deliver a vocal and an instrumental version.

in mos ferrys eyes mikael stavostrands no turning back(mfp024) release at the end of 2006 still marks a highlight of his minimal techno period - and this is not only because of big bullys unmistakable vocals. now, none other than daniel sanchez (mumbling yeah) takes up the subject once again and with his no turning back remix he picks up where the krause duo started tastefully back then. daniels 12 minutes remix relies totally on an energetic rolling groove and puts the vocals always precisely when others would think it cant get more driving. the second remix was made by mikael stavostrand himself and is a straight and spatial welldesigned dj tool. for his own re-interpretation big bully got reinforcement through the argentinean odnu and heads more towards dub techno. these are three very succeeded remixes, which awake the desire to listen one more time to the original (despite the title)
big support: karotte, anja schneider, luciano, italoboys, andre galluzzi, seth troxler, pig&dan, john digweed, daniele papini, anthony collins, stephan bodzin, axel bartsch, nick warren, ivan smagghe, till von sein, sasse, gel abril,..

charity compilation part 2 with tracks by martin eyerer, ds (daniel steinberg), tube & berger, format b! the dance music scene frequently uses african influenced music and rhythm. sampling vocals and percussions of african origin often help djs to achieve huge success with their tracks. meanwhile the political situation throughout the world is reaching an ever-growing imbalance from which the poorest are made to suffer. especially in africa, children have it very hard. they are growing up in an environment that offers poor resources and are exposed to a life of inhuman circumstances. no education, no medical care and worst of all, not enough to eat. in order to support these children and to aid their fight against poverty, the charity project >it began in africa< was set up by juliet sikora and tube & berger. together with other artists from the dance music scene they want to help raise money for the organization the african childrens choir. in cooperation with the african childrens choir, 18 artists made their own interpretations of the original songs from the african childrens choir. all profits made from the sale of this compilation will be donated to the choir and their further projects, i.e. building schemes, the founding of nurseries, and schools to help children get away from a life on the streets. >with this project we sincerely hope to be able to support the children of africa and empower them so that one day they will be able to help themselves.<

the groovers sound is the result of a lot of late nights, forged and crafted with utter devotion to creating a unique sound. all our influences were bought into the studio and from the tension between a love and knowledge of various musical styles and modes, of temperament and personality we found that it clicked. the result of this collaboration between finn campbell-notman and steve ferrand is ten track collection of songs from slow to mid to house tempos. each time we worked on a track or song we asked ourselves >is this a groovers track< and the only criteria in deciding if it was was >does it feel like one or not< this feel that we were searching for is: that bittersweet, syncopated and soulful one that we both love regardless of genre. our influences range from deep deep dancefloor house, early downtempo, latin soul, boogie, southern funk, and shimmering techno
scandanavian pair holmar filipsson and klas-henrik lindblad aka sasse are busy people. what with running their collective labels moodmusic, crack & speed, thugfucker recordings, and a gallon of original releases they have somehow managed to find time to hook up to produce a cracker of an album. the pair share a love for disco and deep house music and this is very apparent in the music they come together to create. this ep features three choice cuts from their upcoming album æa splendor in the grassÆ.

sebastian davidson as a dj is a diverse mix of deep house across to more techier, tougher sounds, breaks and downtempo grooves, but each mix has its roots firmly planted in the deeper end of the house music spectrum…, resulting in deep sexy underground house music shaken over the funk cubes and perfectly served with a soul garnish.
techhead recordings proudly presents its 10th release in a row called uber hinaus mythos. the record includes the original track uber hinaus mythos by gabriel ben and 3 remixes made by the likes of marcelinho cic, daniel d and the duo john karagiannis & pay lip service trying to cover sounds of different tastes. an allrounder, but a solid one. first off the original version is a full-throttle techno affair with punchy kicks made by one of the most promising artists in the scene. on the same side the remix by john karagiannis & paylipservice is one more proof of their vigorous and diverse sound. on the other side the remix of marcelinho cic is a very efficient floor-filler track while the driving techno sound of daniel d s remix provide the proper dance-floor material!
the highgrade-collective welcomes a new member in its rows, marcus sur, who until now has released one ep on highgrade digital and contributed one track to the >our thing< label-compilation. as-well new on board is the berlin based simon beeston, coming to us from new zealand. it was high time to dedicate a various artists to the newbies, alongside with the old hands tom clark and daniel dreier. marcus surs >gold< heralds the ep hypnotically, simultaneously delivering the proof how perfect his tracks fit into the highgrade label-sound. welcome on vinyl, mr. sur! in the following simon beeston drags us with >idle housewives< into dark echo chambers, teasing with weird sounds, which finally melt together into to a unique groove. label-boss tom clark in alliance with daniel dreier use their >13 cookies< to explore, what happens if you lock two versatile producers like them into one studio. the result is nothing to sneeze at, a massive groove, which keeps three feet on the floor while having the head up in the clouds. adding another facet to this varied ep!
played by loco dice, tom clark... a booty call. the title says it all, a call for all booties - big or small - to migrate to the dance floor. an orgy of percussion and low end rumble lift you from your head bobbing slump up against the wall and firmly plants you right in the sweet spot of the dance floor, where the rising energy hits a climax. there is a pause and then the most noticeable sound of the track hits: the booty call. one artist credited with invigorating the kindisch label, is the young frankfurt based producer daniel mehlhart, whose first (and hopefully not last) release, origami was a highlight of last summer. in his booty call remix, one can immediately hear his style thrust into the main groove of the track, injecting it with a heavier feel and bringing forth a whole slew of new effects and sounds including a hypnotizing african vocal. this marks a small milestone as the 20th release of the label.
