detroit label 6one6 returns with a superb ep from myles serg with a remix from berlins mike dehnert aka md2.

not many single releases can be labelled as events, especially not in the ever homogenised techno world, but the first single from model 500 in eleven years, and the first recorded by the new band line up is most definitely an event.
its only fitting that this single is released on r&s records, whose relationship with the man widely acknowledged as the originator of detroit techno goes back 17 years and who released the last model 500 album back in 1999.

this summer seems to be the return of fabrice lig with his album on fine art, 12on r&s and this great third ear release with remixes by... underground resistance timeline (mike banks and jon dixon), luke slater, marco passarani and fluxion! slater delivers hot techno action... peak time big room sound that will get the hands up, nice job! ur delivers the hi-tech soul techno and is unique and special as always. passarani delivers some old school detroit influenced beats refering to the hay-days of kms and kevin saunderson. could easily be our favorite mix on this 12! fluxion drops some smoking hot dubby techno. total winner remix package!!

heavy stripped down killer berlin flavoured techno tracks berghain style! mr dehnert is slowly but steadily building a reputation as one of berlin s top techno producers!. after his massive release on clone things went up quickly with fachwerk label nights at berghain, shows at big festivals such as nature one, upcoming releases on deeply rooted house and clone, licenses by francois k, osunlade, the hyped md2 releases etc. not a bad start of 2010! fachwerk however will always be his home with uncompromising tracks that are designed for the dancefloor. big one!

mike simonetti of italians do it better and perseo fame going wild on the edit-front. hot stuff!

italians do it better owner/traveling dj salesman/heavy record collector mike simonetti takes an edit to three very obscure 90s house tracks. we were able to recognize the a-side with some help. the track was altered significantly and intro extends and builds and builds and builds... the two tracks on the b-side sound like 90s japanese piano house and a happy house rave track flipped on 33 but to be honest, we have no idea what they are.

12inch debut for whatchawannado, a new label featuring edits by djs who have graced the decks at las infamous do over party. stones throws left field psych man james pants leads things off with an excellent edit of jefferson airplanes white rabbit entitled through the rabbit hole. for the more dancefloor oriented, check the flip where (thee) mike b takes charanga 76s famous spanish version of aint no stopping us now and extends those banging disco breaks for days before finally letting it slip into the vocals.

besides the extended version of the original mix, the single contains a strong remix package by the likes of: d.i.m., phatzoo and dimitri vegas & like mike. love vibrations was already a favorite among fans and so an easy choice to pick as next single.

mr dehnert delivering! after is succesfull releases on fachwerk and the first basement series release its time for another essential techno release by mike dehnert. after the little hype on the many blogs its another release that will create a stir. lautschrift is probably the sexiest masculine techno track we ve heard in a while! a wolf in sheep clothes. undercooled phat techno drive with a nice mellow vocoder voice, soft bleepy sounds and a deep sub-bass... and then slowly the sexy bassline becomes more and more dominant and energetic and the tracks turns into a killer. amazing track! regelschrift and nano are two heavy techno tracks from the neue berliner techno schule. just as we like it!

its amazing to have this kind of music coming directly out of turbo hq, it nails a sound that we have always tried to cultivate. minimal without being boring, trippy without being predictable, unafraid of melody, and with just enough analog imperfection and warmth to it.

giorgio gigli is an italian minimal-trance maestro, an incredibly modern renaissance man who is also a trained sommelier.** he is rising in the ranks and catching up in profile to his occasional production partner, donato dozzy. hopefully we will have more of his tracks on turbo soon.

hobo is a fellow canadian best known for his excellent work on m¦nus. rumor has it, he borrowed richies quad-macro template file to finish the final version of this remix... whatever he did, his second effort came up huge, this mix is excellent.

kebacid is the production alias for turbo all-stars jesper dahlbäck and jori hulkkonen. their previous releases on jespers defunct blank ltd are some of the best acid tracks of the decade. this is a monster that ought to keep all the die-hard turbo fans happy.

mark grusane and mike cole are better known as the owners of mr peabodys records (store) in chicago. this track was taken from the primitive house trax cd they put out in small numbers. this early nineties track very much reminds us of the true chicago house sound… raw and sweaty! this will be available as a special limited edition.

top ten of techno dj legend dave clarke and ben sims !! michael walgram, born and still living in steyr, started his dj career at the age of nineteen. that time he was deejaying at small private parties, heating up the vibes with commercial beats. the artist mike turrento was born. however, he soon started to alter his style and went from commercial music to fine, chilly, yet pumping and pounding tribal techno. he is especially known for enriching his sounds with numerous sound effects using different equipment. the hype of minimal techno did not alter his individual style, yet he tried to combine minimal and classic techno with breakbeats. through adding skillbreaks, speedbreaks, scratches and spins he managed to find the perfect mixture and created outstanding classic breakbeat techno sets.
