harry wolfman makes his omena debut with 37 degrees , a four track ep, containing loose, warm, and dreamy tracks.

for the first release of 2018 we welcome harry wolfman to the outplay family! having followed his work for the last couple of years we re very happy to have him deliver this varied 4-tracker, which very well might be some of his best work to date. the a side starts off with hitch . a warm and dusty groover driven by rhodes, a rubbery bassline and a thudding kick. a lovely string piece in the middle of the track slowly builds up to the break for it to return to the head nodding groove soon after. the added percussion gives it a nice lively feel as well. pigs in blankets sets the pace a little slower, but the funk goes on. the track incorporates 80s style samples with some excellent synth and chord work. perfect for a warm up session. starting on the b side harry takes it up a notch with nemoto , which will be a definite stomper for the dance floor. it takes you on a 9 minute journey of rolling bumpy basslines, screaming distortion leads and hypnotising synth work. finally, to ease things off, sts-136 (final call) comes in at a slow 88 bpm pace as a perfect closure to the ep. dreamy pads, piano licks and a calming marimba melody combined with a beat which feels like a warm blanket will make you wander off for a moment

harry klein records is back. the first contribution comes from giorgia angiuli. born and raised in the deep south of italy, giorgia is a classic example for a inimitable talent when it s about combining different styles of music. either playing live on stage or recording in the studio � her unconventional manner of reception and rendition, same on stylistic as on technical issues, allows her to create unique moments through her music. in this sense her forthcoming ep, named nebula , is a contribution to the multiple diversity which marks the electronic scene nowadays more than ever. it s taking us on a journey through the facets of heart-warming house, straightforward techno, and the fields of intense and dreamy pop, always reminding us of what s really essential in music.

after taking a short break house of disco records are back with a purpose. not content with the adding to the plethora of disco edit labels representing the genre they have opted to walk a more distinct path, determined to lean on originals or clever sampling as opposed to outright re-rubs. in this their twelfth release they recruit previous label-mate harry wolfman and compadre skinny love to provide three stunning dancefloor ready originals. the duo have certainly delivered on the brief and turned in three diverse and clever takes on what a modern disco track with a house soul can represent. on remix duties they have recruited a promising young producer kickflip mike, who has released on box aus holz as joschka seibt and paired him with experienced disco merchant the revenge who is responsible for some of the best remixes we know of, and he doesnt disappoint here with either remix.

after travelling through the far flung galaxy for 002 ... forgotten corner aka phil banks & nick mackrory come back to planet earth & keep everything in house for their third label release. side a is kind of a track of two halves written and produced by nick mackrory - consisting of a 2 minute samba driven vocal intro, full of live instrumentation and featuring the live vocals of harry collier, before breaking down in to a deep hypnotic slow motion arpeggiated electronic groove! side b takes things back down in to the dark basements ... amongst the smoke machines, strobes & cans of warm red stripe! where phil adds his touch ... losing the live intro and taking things on a much more deep electronic instrumental bass wobble work out! still keeping the arpeggiated moog but with tougher beats and a much dirtier feel.

lcd soundsystem, esg, stephin merritt (the magnetic fields), peaches und debbie harry (blondie) - eine so illustre gästeliste kann wohl franz ferdinand vorweisen. die oben genannten künstler wurden vom schottischen quartett überredet, für die covers ep, welche bereits erschienen ist, ihre songs zu covern. die beeindruckenden ergebnisse reichen von postpunk bis hin zu krawall-elektro und sind äußerst hörenswert! jetzt setzen wir noch mal einen drauf. zwei der coverversionen wurden nun vom pariser trio dop und von brennan green geremixed und erscheinen jetzt auf dieser 12inch!

herzlich und prädestiniert verspielt zugleich, diesen sound kennen wir doch nur von einem künstler. harry axt auch bekannt als daniel steinberg bringt auf dieser ep seinen einzigartigen stil mit warmen elementen und virtuosen sound voll zum ausdruck. auf der >basement bar< ep bedeutet dies glückseligkeit gepaart mit einem schuss funk!

daniel sternberg, eightyaxt years old, born naive and innocent in berlin, has been a dj and producer since the early 90s. since then, using the artist names daniel steinberg and harry axt, he has produced numerous tracks, remixes, and a mix-cd on labels such as kiddaz.fm, front room recordings, micro.fon,, and leftroom. his debut album, planet axt, comes out on 02.03.2009 on the label of his booking agency rompecabeza. the vinyl version presents eight as of yet unreleased tracks.

not another promo text!?!? we find that all of the music produced by harry axt speaks volumes, therefore we simply (and happily!) offer you these two new tracks. it s worth mentioning that this is the last ep from harry axt before his album release in october on rompecabeza music. the whole summer he will indulge in a production break, so that he may doze in the sun, test every type of beer possible, demolish enormous amounts of grilled meat and danish ice cream, and then completely concentrate this replenished creativity on his debut album. then, while the sun fades away for another season, he will let the sunshine back into our ears�
