for the 5th release of deep minimal label adult only shape, sub division of adult only records, roumanian funk e and his germain conspirator ogeid bring us a fresh energy which is fusion of sequences and space sound.
on side a, a characteristic track of funk e and ogeid in search of the miraculous with synthesizer and piano in the shuffled house beat, we can also feel a funk in the bass, a magic pad leads them all.

following up the debut release from altitude, vade mecum returns with an ep on the limited 10inch series with another legend in the dub techno world - merv. they became notorious after some releases in the second half of the 90s, which included two tracks that are now considered dub techno classics: >dust< and >melted vein<. the copenhagen based duo are back in the studio for a couple of years, after almost 2 decades of silence. since then, they already relased some quality new material on top labels from the scene, and we are absolutely delighted and excited to have them onboard.
its time to deliver the second ep from adana twins latest mix compilation and with this one we set the focus to the more organic and off kilter leanings from lehar, sbth, acid pauli, musumeci and stereocalypse. kicking things off is italys lehar with his super slick ‘blue wolf where robust percussions culminate in a potent groove laying the foundation for lush sonic melodies that transport you into uniquely sublime spaces. sbth follows with the exceptionally unique ‘4w1r6 where they forgo the standard four-to-the-floor approach and employ a distinguished and uncommonly unique 3/4 time signature to full effect creating a swelling and brooding number assuring a definite, clear memory long after it ends. flipping to the b-side we see the renowned acid pauli in top form as he relies heavily on thick organic percussion and plush musicality with his ‘greetings from orgonon before switching gears as musumeci delivers a stunner with ‘invaders where past meets present as disco, techno and house all meet in one harmonious culmination. to round out the ep, stereocalypses ‘jubeelee! is an expertly crafted venture into the modern techniques of infectious afro-house concluding an extremely well rounded ep showcasing the diversity of adana twins selection and diversity.
repress! japanese producer jun kitamura released 2eps from his own label capricious back in 1998 and 2000 named outergaze and outergaze 2 by his artist name jun. they were both underground hit in the uk and other countries. efd compiles 2 tracks from these 2eps, which are still heard in dance floors worldwide after more than 10 years, as the first release efd classic series.
the beating heart of our annual summer gathering, subsonic music festival, is the paradiso stage from which this ep takes its inspiration. with a soundtrack from some of our favourite underground international & local artists, this ep represents just a slice of that unique place. on the a-side is the always incredible and globally respected alexkid & the man of the moment who is making huge waves after an amazing year of releases, stephan bazbaz. on the b-side we go deeper with some of australia’s finest boy wonder retza and the sophisticated minimal grooves of katie drover.

the miami-based trio, consisting of maximiliano cortes, ignacio vallejo & eduardo j. alvarez, presents “of time and actuality” as the second vinyl release (“imbue” - feb. 2017) on their eponymous imprint, and third overall (“abstractions” - digital, dec. 2017). after several collaborations receiving notable support, ota features a joint composition with rojid (uvar, algorythmic, why so series?) titled “everybody”.
