apollo proudly welcomes the return of gacha bakradze (now recording under his full given name) to the fold with the ‘we must be woods’ ep, five stunning tracks which represent his finest work since his debut apollo lp ‘send two sunsets’ in 2015. this has already been a great 2017 for bakradze, with stellar releases on fort romeau’s cin cin label and his own transfigured time imprint.

gacha bakradze returns to transfigured time june 2nd with a new ep, titled ‘i can still see you’. the ep includes five original tracks. photos on the cover is by a georgian photographer andro eradze.

cin cin, the label from fort romeau and ali tillett is back with the labels 7th record and what a corker it is! gacha bakradze follows a pair of releases on r&s/apollo with two cuts of glorious deeptechnohouse perfect for modern dance floors the world over. on the flip knightlife blesses us with a couple of perfectly executed retrofutureravediscohouse weapons for those who long for the good old days.

it kicks off with kfactor. a brazilian ebm-artist, bringing a strong sounding newbeat track. on the edge of military rhythms and cheezy acidlines, and an unmistakely ongoing beat.
vv303, also an ebm artist, give us more then just pure acid. 303’s snorring and humping the dancefloor on fire.
ascended man is the pseudonim for olivier abbeloos, know from t99, quadraphonia,... joins us on this release with a masterpiece. the track connects modern underground electro with the strong and dark newbeat. another floorfiller.
-washing the machince- is the closing track, and a reference to the classic house sound of the warehouse and other early traxx, and still fresh and very newbeat.
as the first release was a huge fresh improvement of todays dancemusic, this release makes the statement clear. fenixfirerecords is here to stay. newbeat is here to stay.

based in bristol, space hardware is a project headed up by hypercolour boss jamie russell that is rooted in an appreciation of p­-funk and the outermost hemispheres of soul and disco. so far the imprint has released material from glenn astro, blacksmif, deft and placeholder and, continuing to shapeshift with each new 12-, the next in the series comes courtesy of apollo and delsin affiliate bakradze. also operating under his gacha and winter flags aliases, bakradze is an artist who uses his own live instrumentation, an mpc and classic korg synths to build rich and woozy melodies that he anchors down with technical rhythm structures. his message from home delves deep into this framework and is packed with a serious degree of flair. astute sound design, balmy guitar tones and loose, natural drum patterns pepper an eglo-esque sound in another fine addition to the space hardware catalogue.
