likely ep is tims first release on tiefschwarzs souvenir label. lead track alike sounds like ivan smagghe jamming with richie hawtin in a warehouse rave in london, skirting a line between futuristic tech house and discerning electro. a live bassline holds down the groove as a trickling bleepy melody develops throughout the track. as more and more layers of elaborate sonic trickery are laid down, a driving snare jacks out the groove further before a series of effects laden breakdowns tighten the tension further and further. cowbells take the second phase of the track ever taughter before the groove emerges into a stabbing hook and pulsating synth noises that drive the dancefloor into blissed out oblivion. subtle vocals tease the ears in the background of the final strung out breakdown, never quite dominating the tune before the jacking bass and kick drop back in. ‘unlike shares a similar vibe for mixing live instruments with plug in madness. live sounding bassline and guitar lines open the track and roll out the groove before the main synth hook takes over. as the track rolls in and out of its breakdowns it lurches between reverb heavy, bleepy chaos and futuristic rhythms. think depeche mode writing an experimental instrumental on the moon in 2012 and youre halfway there. like many french artists these days tim lives and works in london and also collaborates with fellow frenchies ivan smagghe and dante eprom. he first caught the attention of vinyl sleuths with his excellent remix of db (8)s future now in 2004 and now runs his own label marketing music as well as pushing the boundaries of spacey electro flavoured tech house with his own solo material.

its their third release together (after >marketel & marketim< & >dog or vodka<) and you can expect here some great dance combos while listening to this two tracker.

the original tracks from tim paris and partial arts had recieved incredible support from the likes of all big cats around the world (from l.garnier to chris duckenfield to jef k.). this new set of remixes should definitely go the same path. a side sees tim turning an after hour belter slow building and hypnotic track, while b side sees partial arts keepin it tweaked and funky with breaks

tekel and tim paris serve up a truly satisfying delicacy for your taste, >sakapuce< is a brutaly stomping piece of modern, sinister acid with big bollocks, crushing beats and a real crazy piano melody. yet this is almost a nursery rhyme compared to the tekel noise feast on the flipside. >pompier bon oieul< is a radical electro rocker with multiple stratas of ear-shattering distortions

jack of all trades tim paris shows his rocking, more electro side on crack & speed getting right down to business with >standing up< a jacking electro-pop opus with understated yet glamorous vocals by allonymous and a few suprising stops and breaks pulled by tim paris. stefan goldmann strips off the pop ornaments for his remix and maximises the jack and takes us on a bumpy ride with clonky, metallic beats, buoyant acid squeaks continuing in the vein of his releases on classic etc. tim paris takes us back to dirty electro-rock with his remix for france s grande dame de techno dj chloÉ s >take care<: a frazzeld, constantly serrating synth line runs wild over super-dry, cumbrous drum beats - sparse yet super-effective
