sam kdcs latest offering for auxiliary takes the listener on a deep and spiritual journey. of myth & mercury consists of four intricate pieces that tell a ritualistic tale drenched in a mystical atmosphere. all four tracks flow are grey area in design, and set about proving what can be done with the template. atmospheric pressure from one of electronic musics unsung heroes.

a great release from sam kdc, his musical breadth can range from pure ambient to wild and crazy synth mayhem. its all done with a touch of class and care, all you skdc diehards this is a no brainer. auxiliary again releases another ep of pure originality and this is what makes it stand out as a label in the modern age.

what sam kdc has achieved here is nothing short of genius. this is a very filmic visual lp and will take you away to another world. this also shows that sam’s production skills are very thoughtful and mindful of the potential listeners that should flock on mass to this chilled out and wonderfully crafted lp. if you like the deeper side of music and all things ambient, then this is a no brainer, it’s from the top drawer of the quality cupboard. if you just want something mellow as an alternative then this is the one for you.

sam kdc returns with perhaps his most unique release to date. four tracks that well and truly blur the lines between many genres, while keeping the tempo steady at 85/170 bpm. immolate kicks off proceedings, with its ethnic vocal chant and tripping kick drums. eerie vibes from start to finish. moving on to the frantic navigation to nowhere, which opens with an ominous arp and frenetic kick drums build up to an uneasy acid lead. flip side opens with vessel, which keeps the atmosphere dark and introduces techno sensibilities to the fold. finally, purgatory wraps things up with yet another frenzied climax. the order & the entity is a rewarding listen offering something truly unique. we guarantee you will not have heard music like this anywhere else!

ten years is a long time, especially in music. auxiliary started life purely as an outlet for asc s music at the back end of the autonomic movement. since then, it s been through a number of changes, taking in a lot of different styles along the way, including autonomic, drum & bass, ambient, downtempo, techno, grey area, and music that can only be defined as experimental in nature.

sublunar records, the label run by sciahri and dagdrom, starts 2019 with his tenth release. “corpora” is a new trilogy project whose elements will see the light throughout the year.

liam blackburn s transformative night of visions lp as ancestral voices forged a bold new sonic identity for an influential figure on the electronic music scene. from his groundbreaking work as indigo and onto the success of akkord s hybrid electronic melting pot (with synkro), the quest for forward movement is intrinsic to everything liam produces. to further celebrate the night of visions lp release, we asked some of our favourite producers to reconstruct some of night of visions highlights in their own style. each remixer chose their own track from night of visions to work with. the first name on our remix list was swedish producer and northern electronics label head - abdulla rashim. choosing invocations , his remix focuses on the hypnotic power of the original, turning the tune into a golden loop with subtle kick drum stabs, sweeping percussion and a dangling tension that hangs through the entire 7.33 minutes. asc & sam kdc chose feathered serpent and using just touches of the original tune have masterfully built an all new backbone that demonstrates clearly the ability of the grey area sound to work at 2 different tempo s and weld together with straight techno.
