m1 sessions presents chips n chittlins vol. 1, featuring the talents of paul randolph and his timeless world view of musical influence. the full album previously released in limited numbers on cd will be released in two volumes on 12 inch. this project offers a 2 step garage sound blended with house and r&b. randolph has only begun to leave a magical legacy of sound behind him as his trail blazes light years in all directions of the universe.

the 12 inch features the mesmerizing vocal delivery by detroit singer/musician paul randolph. randolph is a steady member of the jazzanova live band and has been touring with them over the last few years. in his words, >i human< is a statement of the feeling you have when you create music and interact with people in a one-on-one and personal live situation, instead of ambivalent text messages and e-mails. and thats what you can hear in this wonderful piece of live recorded music. uplifting, life affirming, soul soothing and yes, human!

number 3 on ruff draft comes from louis guilliaume. having met louis back in 2009 and followed his music since way before then, it was an exciting day when we received these tracks from him. known more for his harder edge techno productions on labels such as soundtravels, bio rhythm holland, teng, sd holland and a remix on skudge, here he edges slightly away from that harder sound. the tracks vary from deep, groovy and meandering house to a beatless soundscape reminiscent of early larkin and pullen to a powerful kick drum driven sermon.

alex attias got his start in back in Õ88 playing funk, house, jazz, and disco, as well as producing under various monikers such as mustang, freedom soundz or beatless. moving to london in Õ97 he started his ÔvisionsÕ label and found himself at the epicentre of the emerging west london Ôbroken beatÕ scene which grew around his studio at goya. releases on people, planet e, ubiquity, neroli, archive and compost followed, as well as remixes for incognito, 4hero, ennio morricone, sun ra, art blakey, roni size and laurent garnier among others.
