apollo is proud to welcome paul frick to the fold. frick is a berlin-born music composer primarily known as one part of the group brandt brauer frick. stunningly despite a 20+ year history of making music “second yard botanicals” is his debut album. with bbf keeping frick inspired and busy since 2009, other ideas had piled up until a temporary break allowed him to fully dive into them - “while it took so long until i made my first album, it took about two months once i started.”

paul frick is back with another massive ep on kalk pets. i got through is his third release for the berlin producer on the vinyl sublabel of karaoke kalk and with it frick has delivered another quality record.

doppelschall is back! the label of brand brauer and frick with another strong forward thinking house release. its paul frick doing a solo with emika and come up with some sweet warm sounding song with a great funky groove and sexy vocals. dollkraut comes up with a more then excellent remix that sounds like dick dale & the del tones doing a house mix... killer track with much pop appeal! akufen goes all deep house with warm chords and laidback vibe.

paul frick schreibt als studierter komponist in erster linie musik für klassische instrumente. auf seiner ersten 12inch findet sich aber zum glück house musik die soul atmet und trotzdem repetitiv, hypnotisch und manchmal technoid ist. erinnert stark an akufen ohne dabei cut-up zu sein
