12“vinyl with replaceable art cover version. resopal is proud to present it’s 100 vinyl release with cavaan & roar. few labels and producers have had the longevity and success of this heavyweight and this two-track 12 sees both artists demonstrate why the label is highly-regarded in the scene. title-track bitcoin by cocoon recording artist cavaan kicks off the ep in fine style with demanding drums and repetitive chord progressions par excellence which are supplemented by resounding pulses of warm bass. further elements are expertly added into the equation soon enough, such as a warped spoken-word vocal, numerous melodic textures and trippy flourishes which all come together, building and yielding as the track drops back into its rolling, sun-kissed groove. on the flip-side is santeria, by french artist duo roar which is marginally the more restrained of the two tracks on offer, characterized by a succession of subtle, misshapen sounds, twisted effects and an ascending synth which compliments the punchy percussion and melodic stabs. both tracks so subtle and charming. highly recommended stuff! first plays by luciano, ricardo ......

this is the ninetieth release on the ongoing resopal series. furthermore it is cavaan s first release on the label with arguably their most accomplished tracks to date. on the a side the guys spread their alternative vision of house music all over and roll out the tightly arranged amphid lampshade, characterized by impulsive beats, rhythmic synths and musical knowlodege. on the flipside, track metamorphosis builds upon several layered synths, resulting in a floor effective dense catacomb of sound. both tracks pay great attention to detail, are hard to pigeonhole and reach from modern house to far-out beat driven techno.

kaet ep is the fourth installment by cavaan on the young label treat your dj right. this release includes a remix by the allmighty and running back label owner and panorama bar resident gerd janson together with his arto mwambe partner phillip lauer under their cocoon alias tuff city kids.

working together in person has been an important point in cavaans collaborations lately - much preferring the human interaction and local landscapes over the soulless exchange of sound files over the internet. with this point taken care of, the two cavaan guys struck out in a berlin, heidelberg and venice studio. while the awesomeness of the cities kept the team quiet the landscape nonetheless teamed with sounds.

cavaan is releasing their follow up 12inch on the new label that has given echoingly hypnotic infused techno and house music a stable platform. the duo effortlessly present three beautifully-constructed productions that demonstrate the convergence and symbiotic nature of their musical past and present.

cavaan is the alter ego of a rather well known berlin producer and his fellow from milan. the duo debuts with their very much loved project. they feature a studio-recorded wonderful vocal on this hypnotically modern percussive house affair titled black snow. the original track grooves on some free swinging retro percussions and beats from the 80s machinery and a softly moving house-beat making this a very subtle killer for any dancefloor. while the vocals carry the track as light as a feather it is after the breakdown that things get really musical - you will hear yourself while listening the melodies and sequences. for the remixes turdjr has aligned a high-quality and diverse array of a current top producer. one of heidelbergs coolest kids on the block, lopazz knows that every track gets better with a lot of handmade music-and he sure is right in his interpretation of black snow. last not least i is under on the flip which is one of these tracks that sucks the listener in so deep that there is simply no escape: repetitive yet constantly changing and constantly grooving while remaining very pure! this release is filled with tracks that will long echo on the dancefloor!
