sadly betty botox is no longer with us. she departed planet earth in 2010 and leaves a gaping hole amongst all those who knew her. she left behind a dat tape in her studio with the final ep written on the cover in lipstick, which her closest confidants feel she wanted to be her last statement to the world. so, after a slight delay, two years later, 4 tracks that were regular features in her musically wayward dj sets are now available for her to fans to hear and play. combining her love for psyche funk, cosmic synth, space rock and late 70s stadium rock these reworkings, remixes, refixes and reproductions of known and unknown tracks are sure to be hits on non-conservative dance floors everywhere.

after one year composing in isolation, bot ox is tackling 2009 at full throttle. following the 12 releases on dfa and dc recording last year, cosmo vitelli and julien briffaz are coming back on im a cliche to release three singles till 2009 put together like a trilogy. here is the first single including arab drift and rue de l arsenal.

alongside the release of his long awaited first album and his endless world tour, yuksek found the time to make a remix for his old pals of im a cliché. and the result is killer. he kept the melodic dimension of the original and used his skills to turn it into a huge floor filler.

while everyone else was enjoying the summer of the century ( and probably the world cup ) the botox boys hurled themselves in the studio and indulged into a cosmic electronic >kraut< session. on the hard stomping >lada rock< cosmo vitelli lays down a stoic one note bassline and grants tekels julien briffaz some time to get freaky with hard metallic, stumbling beats behind his drumkit before skanking guitar chords preludes several minutes of countless dramatic organ and synth erruptions. after this wild freak-out your body gets a rest, its now the mind that gets messed with, the slow moving >drive by shooting< with its neverending, grinding, menacing cascades of hot-lava like synth tides sounds like a dark balearic tune on bad acid

this new album is the longest and more ambitious work they had produced to date, including up to 14 new tracks where find their usual eclectic amalgam of dance oriented darky styles, from ebm to synth pop, passing by electro beats, pure coldwave, italo disco or classical synthwave. all tracks has been recorded using only analog synthesizers captured on a external recorder without make use of daw digital conversions, excepting on the final process of digital mastering . all tracks has been mastered and remastered specially for vinyl by eric van wonterghem at prodam studio (berlin).
