toy tonics mushroom house series brings together different shades of afro-weirdo-psychedelic vibes in dance music. all tracks have been made exclusively for toy tonics. the musical range is wide: the third ep goes from arabic guitars to nubian chants and looots of percussions. the bass drum is four-on-the-floor, but switches from midtempo (kiwi: we are here) to classic new york lofi disco grooves (ponty mython) the other 2 tracks on the ep feature an emptier vibe: less toms more drum machines. more techno. red axes deliever probably one of their weirdest works. their munk rework is pure craziness. the melodies come from another space. the last track on the ep is made by old toy tonics friends from milano: the barking dogs. they teamed up with tom trago in the basement studio of the great record store they run in milan: serendeepity records. they are known for selling obscure, but classy music for dance floors and thats what they do when the make music on their own. like on your high: an obscure groove meets a sloppy bassline and stoned vocals.

german collective wareika return to visionquest with the bolero ep this june, comprising the trios original and four remixes from vlad caia, egal 3, boronas and nihko.

cologne based jens-uwe beyer is releasing this new ep just weeks after his album the emissary was published on kompakts new sub-label pop ambient. while „the emissary was completed by beyer on his home island of fehmarn in the baltic sea, amor dark pink tencel satin suit is very much a collaborative effort.

viel spaß! doppelter spaß! größter spaß! diese fun fun alben der 80er und 90er jahre, brachten ihnen eine der besten italo disco acts mit millionen von hits wie happy station, color my love, baila bolero und vielen anderen. mit ihrer debütsingle happy station (genauer gesagt, dem von ben liebrand stammenden „scratch remix“ - erstmals auf high fashion music veröffentlicht) stürmten sie 1983 die charts, und danach folgten eine reihe von hits in den 80er und sogar 90er jahren. man kann sagen, dass ben und high fashion eine schlüsselrolle dabei spielten, fun fun zu einer beispiellosen hit-maschine zu machen! und die kürzliche rückkehr mit den „le disco“-mixen der gleichen happy station-hymne (und den kommenden le disco-mixen von „give me your love“) hat bewiesen, dass fun fun sehr lebendig und bei italo-disco-liebhabern sehr gefragt ist.
