the first two tracks that were ever made after the formation of ontal in 2011 are opening the first release in the ontal series. however, the b side contains 2 versions of a collaboration with a well-known noise sculptor and one of ontal s influences - 2nd gen.

when hartmood sent us his stuff in the late eighties we were like >oh my gosh its far too early for that kind of next gen shit!< we asked him if he was in a hurry. he said >do what ever you like!< more then two decades later we thought it was time to release his shit. and so we did. we asked boris bunnik and dcnt to do a remix and in the end we even had some more next gen shit!

mav s signature style is detected straight from the intro, crazy synth sounds floating through the air. a creepy atmosphere is created, the ones who saw the movie >melancholia< should feel where this can lead to. on top of that krone adds his signature basslines and we have a deep neuro drum n bass tune that will appeal to both old skool fokuz sound lovers and the neuro dnb fans. the flip makes us go back to even earlier sounds. reminiscence to the early releases on fokuz from the likes of gen, drum origins, j laze and even pete rann. let s go back!
