uk deep house legend nail returns to monologues records for a full release after his sublime decisions featured on the dialogue vol. 2 various artists 12- at the end of last year. ever consistent, he delivers two deliciously deep gems. voodoo is a low-down chugger, chunky beats doing battle with disco and soul samples in hypnotic effect. on wid it also oozes soul in its vocal sample and twinkling keys, a garage tinge to its groove. g. markus steps up for the remix of voodoo , keeping things rolling and injecting a big groove of a bassline into the proceedings.

for pressure traxx 013 we take things back to basics. two guys and four machines are the only ingredients for these old school bangers. on the a side we re very proud to welcome nail tolliday from the uk to the family. this legend is in the game for more than 20 years and has paid his dues for sure. -sentipede- (originally released on diy discs in 95) was produced on a roland tr 909, tb 303, sh 101 and one effect processor. it was live mixed and recorded in one take. no trickery and no bullshit! on the flip we have pressure traxx co-founder einzelkind cutting it with his 808 rhythm traxx 3. this is a recording of a 10 minute live jam with the roland tr 808. no arranging, no cheap effects, just one guy working this all-time classic drum machine live n direct!

part four in the series sees mosaic return to its signature sound of the late 90 s : deep techno-tinged house. first up is uk house legend nail , who was in hiding in london and suffolk for a while , but is now back in his bunker in nottingham making music once again. his offering, -pharoah,- was created on boxing day 2013 especially for mosaic and contains all the hallmarks of classic nail productions of the 90s whilst maintaining a foot firmly in the present. if you like your house deep and sample heavy this cut is definitely worth checking out...on the flip we have two tracks from newcomer annie errez. annie is a resident dj at the mint club in leeds and has been developing her production skills over the last few years with appearances on holic trax , saints & sonnets as well as a very fine release on strobewax which she co-runs with fellow mint club resident bobby o donnell. if deep techno- house is your cup of tea then put the kettle on and listen to the sublime -bell curve- and the dubbed out bass monster that is auguste.- we are sure that you will agree that there is no doubt that she will be a producer to keep an eye on in the future

excellent deep house dbl header <br riding on the back of a surge of interest in de la club, the debut lp from hold youth, comes a smartly picked repress of house don nail. while the duo is known for their eclectic vision of dance music, the first repress on the label ive been there ep is in fact an exemplary example of straight-up, no-fuss house. enjoying a modest comeback of late both as a producer and dj, nail originally released full of beestone promise ep on diy discs in 97. the stronger two of the four tracks will be repressed one on each side, * our love* and * i ve been there*, distinctive for its melodic vocal and recent inclusion in the apollonia fabric 70 compilation. while we have become accustomed to hold youth’s diversification of sounds with the current lp, i ve been there reminds us that a pigeon-holable classic can be highly refreshing

the third 12 inch sampler taken from lukes unfinished business compilation series, this time featuring a lost dub of the nails classic hurt u featured as part of the kittens single back in the year 2000. nail is enjoying a fantastic and deserved renaissance at the moment and will felt it was high time let this baby loose. this is followed by another lost gem from the wonderful tak label. the last unfinished business compilation featured the timedwellers and now it’s time for collis king, look out for some unreleased gems to be featured on an ep from classic later this year. number 3 is the tripped out vocal classic from sandee - given some modern day remastering business a record that has proven to be totally timeless - and a stalwart at luke and kenny hawkes legendary space nights at bar rumba. and finally - lukes very own stop the riot - the first single he recorded with sam lynham from gramme championed by the likes of skream on radio one and nemone on 6 music - we felt the single deserved its very own place on vinyl.
