matéria exótica, exotic matter in english, in physics, is described as special because it can bend spacetime in a way that time slows down. this is the energy the label wants people to have with its music. for the first record, el_txef_a delivers a 2 track side full of emotion and -martian- sounds as he often calls it. a basque producer who stands for a specific and complex sound signature, in his discography we find releases on labels like “permanent vacation”, “mule electronic” or “hypercolour”,he has as well released two long play albums “slow dancing in a burning room ( 2012 )” and “we walked home together ( 2014 )” aitor etxebarria is the man behind this mystic artist from bilbao “el_txef_a” american born, berlin based snad, who has labels like smallville or minibar in his repertoire was the chosen one to remix the main track, blue boat, and give it a dancefloor touch-

materia obscura, launches with witchcraft themed three-part techno series entitled “trilogia del aquelarre”, inaugurating with abstract division, cadans, nx1 and lucindo. based on francisco de goya’s black paintings “el aquelarre”, which is exhibited at the museo del prado in madrid.

nova materia’s powerful, hypnotic music incorporates eerie sounds generated by raw and mineral materials (metal, rocks etc) to create tracks that are in turn hyper-rhythmic and dreamy, poised between postpunk rock and electronic dance music. the band’s sound is already making headway in festivals & clubs as well as in the visual arts & performance communities.
nova materia is a duet consisting of caroline chaspoul from france and eduardo henriquez from chile. the band was born three years ago from the ashes of panico, the chilean alternative rock group with which caroline and eduardo toured around the globe and released several albums. after two eps produced a.o. in collaboration with french producer chloé and her kill the dj label, nova materia have joined the likes of acid arab, konono n°1, juana molina, yasmine hamdan and matias aguayo on the crammed discs roster.

emmanuel top has been releasing belter records ever since he first emerged in the early 90s. in recent times the paris based artist has done several heavy hitting singles with a number of respected labels. m10 is a special 2 track record that has two version of the sought after “festival suicide” record that popped up in many dj sets over the last year. while the closing night mix (a-side) is a gloomy, yet staggering work of low-down techno, the opening night mix (b-side) is a based on a soaring lead sound that serves as the back bone of this anticipated 12”.

with every album project comes a proper remix pack. marco bailey has invited some of his most respected colleagues in modern day techno to come up with an interpretation of two of temper’s toughest cuts.
“planet mad” is being reworked by marcel fengler and andre kronert. fengler’s rework is an adventurous take on the original and has a strong emphasis on rhythm. without loosing with the original idea, fengler builds the rhythm section into a wash of bold drums and rich percussion. andre kronert’s take on “planet mad” pushes the track s idea into a different direction. kronert yet again proves to be a craftsman when it comes to textures and builds. while the recognizable bass sound of the original keeps thumping, atypical bits of fx are added to build on an unusual but very soothing atmosphere.
for the b side, “naga” is being reshaped by croatian master of electronics petar dundov and rotterdam based fast riser, koen hoets. petar dundov comes up with an esoteric take on “naga”. whilst respecting the form of the original, dundov goes one notch deeper with his wide array dub elements and feral hat sounds. koen hoets delivers a more demure take on “naga”. whilst the rhythm section might not be suitable for all club situations, this is adventurous techno at its best. noteworthy fx and soul touching strings that float throughout.

materia ep is the second installment of ruhig s double ep, inaugurated with particles ep in january 2016. originally the records were supposed to be out in the same period, but due to problems with our ex-distribution, materia ep got postponed of few months. the release starts with the transcendent trento, respecting ruhig s tradition of broken beats idm deep techno leaning openers. consecutive cut the vector is a thumping mixtures of drones and heavyweight hihats designed with some attention for dancefloor. the slow-burner materia delivers some powerful mist-shrouded kicks on the b-side, that wraps up with sciame, a massive droning wave of electro wasps, which still keeps some classy chilled out elements somewhere in the background, behind the thunderous main drums. vinyl unfortunately left no space for the extra only digital track 1870, this last one is percussive retro-futuristic jam of psychedelic mouth arp and huge mallets drums. the track will be available for free download in the same period of the vinyl
