i was thrilled when joe goddard asked if he could make an ep for the label and were even more thrilled when i heard it. the fact that he roped in the legendary kool keith to appear on one track just kept on bringing the thrills.
ltd pic disc, after time travelling with l’orange on the time astonishing ep (mmg) and delivering a new episode of his -total orgasm- mixtape series, kool keith aka tashan dorrsett is back at work with producer junkaz lou (aka the great priest of dark funk) in order to preach and teach the galaxy about his religion and lead all you lost sheep and freaks into the light of god. -the preacher- is yet another classic scripture by kool keith coming straight from the junkadelic temple.

long established detroit talent keith worthy traverses a fine line between deep, bumpy house and raw techno on his debut double album, the price of non-conformance. t.p.o.n.c. is a conceptual project that takes you on a virtual walk through the streets of detroit. from a musical standpoint, the sound and feel of t.p.o.n.c. aligns with worthy’s own dna, a complex blend of house and techno, and all while incorporating a degree of fantasy into every composition. always striving to create his own path, and never allowing everyone else’s “norm” to become his influence, worthy really excels in this long player format. in total, t.p.o.n.c. consists of 14 tracks (including 8 songs and 6 interludes) all crafted to convey a vision of what non-conformance looks and sounds like. t.p.o.n.c. has range, from the boom-bap of the drums to the unorthodox patterns and key structures, this project evokes a sense of individualism that often gets lost in todays modern world of musical proliferation. in true detroit fashion, and in tandem with the spirit of aesthetic audios own mantra, t.p.o.n.c. maintains, the rule is there are no rules.
the 17th installment from aesthetic audio brings together italian bred producer joe drive and detroits own keith worthy for a two-man journey to fathom the depths of the sound oasis. on this journey, the soundtrack articulates joe drives lush and extremely deep textures, and worthy compliments the project by paying tribute joe drives original with a stripped down, raw and bumpy remix of amnios.
we are the ones with the courage to stand up and express our ideas. so many heroes have sold out, moved on, and turned their back on the detroit underground. if the true believers are waiting on the calvary then i guess cryovac will have to do. this is our fight whether we like it or not. we are a few like minds, not the alphas, never the favorites. we are the other guys, the ones nobody bets on, the least likely to survive a business. we know what the score will bring us, but there is an appointment and we mean to keep it. heroes must define themselves and then redefine themselves. each day that moves forward brings opportunities to tweak creations into what the now means. kieth kemp endures the elements and ailments of an ever changing electronic world. he is an original hero with a smooth technique that reflects an instinctual nderstanding of sound and soul. kieth represents a talent and spirit that does not falter no matter how strange a circumstance can get. he follows his own path to relavence. i am proud to welcome kieth to the cryovac machine.

your imagination paints the picture as these sounds creep into the alleys of your mind … midwest maestros gmarcell (chicago) and keith worthy (detroit), get together on this one to create sublevel mayhem …. this is underground … this is deepness … this is: the rise of the dijital teknobots!!!!
diese keith hudson aufnahme von 1974 ist so etwas wie ein verlorenes schmuckst?ck, das wegen seines gesangsstil in den letzten jahren immer mehr an bedeutung gewonnen hat. untergebracht in einem sonnigen cover artwork klang entering the dragon mit keith hudosns unverwechselbarem vocal style zu seiner zeit wahrscheinlich ziemlich erschreckend, wirkt aber heutztage wie ein wendepunkt in der entwicklung von dancehall und hip hop. besonders highlights sind st?cke wie will you come out tonight , it was when friends started to talk about you und rage of love !
just close your eyes and listen to these three lush compositions, while your imagination paints brilliant abstract visuals deep in the alleys of your mind. keeping consistent with the previous ten aesthetic audio releases, the formula for this new gem remains an uncompromising plethora of very raw substance, innovation, and timeless music that will clearly stand on it own amongst deep dance aficionados across the globe. deep roots: begins this journey with this intense and twisted deep banger that is simply a dancers dream. thumping drums and melodic string arrangements get things jumping as you are very quickly taken to your special place. the dark symphony: is a sinister and grimy yet gorgeous piece of work all at the same time. lush chords and dark electronic sculptures spark an imaginary sense of euphoria as the art of dance holds your body ransom. climates: captures the sheer art and raw essence of deep underground dance. this dark beauty continues to build until your body renders itself to the rhythm, and then ultimately it fades … leaving a beautiful memory on the canvass in your mind.
