2021 repress! the marie ep, featuring two originals by the hague youngsters sterk water sporting repetitive minimalism, dutch lyrics, early 80 s electronica and lo-fi minimal wave on marie and zonder te voelen. legowelt and betonkust are on remix duties. west-coast legend legowelt obviously closed his curtains for this pitch dark mix for marie and betonkust makes you want to put on your ugliest pair of sunglasses with his trancey translation of zonder te voelen.

pathway traxx strikes again with this vinyl only underground bomb featuring 2 of the hottest stars in the underground scene, jack wickham and michael james. this 4 track ep delivers punchy underground sounds all designed for the dancefloor. label boss niko maxen serves up both original tracks spanning rolling romanian tech, through to pumping house inspired minimal. jack wickhams rework of the original falls right into his signature sound that has seen his tracks become the staple diet of artists such as raresh and rhadoo. michael james steps up to remix duties on the track cobra and gives us a perfect example of why he is being chased down by some of the biggest underground labels around. this ep is nothing short of an all round banger!

firstly, a huge thanks to everyone for supporting us so far - 2016 has seen the dext label continuing to go from strength to strength, with our callahan and mella dee ep s backed with remixes from hodge and endian which have been been super well received. now for the third ep of the year from our resident comedian bodyjack. bodyjack has been an integral part of dext since he remixed dubspeeka on our 2nd release and headlined our label takeover of privilege in ibiza last summer. we are very excited about his return to the label with this 3-tracker (and our first full solo artist ep!), and we think you re going to dig this... the title track cobra effect is one of those tracks you aren t going forget in a hurry. intense and brooding, we are hard-pushed to categorise this, but layers of sinister bass coupled with dark, driving snares and eerie synth work culminate masterfully, making this the perfect dext track. hydra effect lifts the vibe with a straight up peak-time house jam with a sting in the tail. a raw-but-infectious bassline winds along under bodyjack s signature killer drum programming, before blasting off with something you aren t going to expect. rounding the ep off is slowine effect: a proper dancehall workout (reminiscent of bodyjack s earlier work) and a real cross-genre party starter. the most upbeat of the 3 tracks, this again takes all the elements of what we love about the music from the past and cleverly works them into something special for the rave. and that s not all for bodyjack on dext this year - he will be back with a one-off ltd record called -hot shot-, backed with a very special remixer...but more on that soon!

after the success of their first ep, gilbr and dj sotofett joined forces again for an impromptu jam in the versatile studio. while one was recording, the other arranged it on the fly, creating the impression of a live band playing: organs, live bassline, percussions, live delay feedback and so on ... the result? two tracks of jungle hypnosia.

the latest release from persistencebit headquarters, comes with a killer single-sided, single-track ep, serving the brilliant donnacha costello remix of >cobra< by rolf and fonky (italian djs and producers mirco uguccioni and maurizio ottavi). and donnacha does it again, what he does best – delivering strong low-riding techno grooves. costello, who is no stranger to the electronic music world, with his sought after releases on mille plateaux, releases on kompakt & his colour series on his own minimise imprint, brings as fine echoing claps over a steam-driven shuffle move, letting the intensity escalates when a house feel seeps into the tracks hammering pulse, after which a gradual wind-down brings the lights down to help ease the hooded snake to sleep on this remix. the track is a pure dance floor sweeper in full effect, cut and mastered for optimal dj friendly use
