shortly before the turn of the year 2017/18, my friend jan müller wrote me an e-mail: »dear martin, i ll send you the new album of my band ›dirty dishes‹ now. the album is titled ›kabinett von papen‹. it is a concept album, which has the third-last government cabinet of the weimar republic as a subject. so, please tell me how you see it – whatever your verdict, i ll use it as an incentive to put my mind and body in the service of global pop culture even more so in the future«.

enticingly deep and dubby, title track parallel seduction sets the tone with a rumbling bass and reverbing stabs. optyx picks up the pace, with driving percussion and shimmering synth soundscapes. the subtle distortions of wiemar are next up, conjuring a deep brooding atmosphere. lastly, knocturne is expertly crafted for the dancefloor leaving us fully immersed in a flawless ep.

now already almost a year has gone by since “inspiration”, the collaboration between jah wobble and singer pj higgins has come out on sonar kollektiv. with “chaingang (remixes)” we get a further renewal of one of the eight tracks off the album. for instance utrecht, netherlands based multi-instrumentalist and producer pitto gets down to work to morph the song into an eight-minute spheric techno extravaganza. some sort of a teaser for his upcoming album on sonar kollektiv later this year (although it will sound completely different). also releasing an album on sonar kollektiv in 2015 is producer marlow from weimar. his voodoo version of “chaingang” draws nearer to the original and incorporates the jubilee style gospel chanting to a hypnotically impelling rhythm. at the right time at the right place this remix will cause outmost frenzy on the dancefloor.

no mad ronin, an architecture graduate of bauhaus weimar, first met jerome sydenham in 2010 and instantly connected with the legendary us producer. since then, they pair have collaborated, with sydenham taking the german producer under his arm and ultimately releasing a collaborative 12inch on ibadan in 2012 entitled >i adventure<

first copies only via decks.de !!! laut & luises second poodle, the >shoot the sun ep<, marks the long overdue return of manchesters third dimensional space head norken. collaborating with deer, a powerful brujo from weimar he met while hanging out in a space trailer during his recent long travels, he managed to create an ethereal delight. these techno sorcerers have conjured an album worthy of its title micro don juan. we have chosen two lush trans-dimensional techno tracks with a deep housey feel, namely >shoot the sun< (a2) and >remember that feeling< (b1), and asked deers local buddy dwig aka die wiese im garten (a1) and our charming dürerstuben (b2) for remixes to complete the collection to an essential listening for the third ear. yes, well done gentlemen!

das label polynom entstand in weimar und verliebte sich in dichters sein.die erste veröffentlichung richtet sich an die klassiker. wie sonst auch ist das erste release eines labels geprägt vom entstehungsprozess. auf einem weg durch berge und täler des kreativen schaffens erscheint unter dem namen look for the sin das erstlingswerk undbeinhaltet zwei stücke, die für bescheidene glücksgefühle bestimmt sind. tief klingende, funktionale bässe und zurückhaltende flächen werden durch das mastering von dubplates perfekt ausbalanciert. den remix steuerte thomas stieler bei und legt seiner veröffentlichung auf legotek nun aufpolynom nach. seine interpretation ist sommerlich knackig und lädt zur gediegenen after- hour ein. wieder tritt form und funktion in ein symbiotisches verhältnis und glänzt durch die leichtigkeit des arrangements.

a1: rejdowak (from karaoke to stardom remix) well known french fellow from karaoke to stardom digs in the depth of electronic mystery by designing complex rhythmic sound patterns carried by, well… a pretty dominant bassline! what else do we need?
a2: rejdowak (freak de philipe vs parasit remix) light-hearted pounding techno attitude with a humorous slightly ironic touch, this implements a wise smile on the faces of true electronic music enthusiasts.
b: fm melodie in e-moll (kettenkarussell notbremsen remix) kettenkarussell from weimar manage the impossible: completely transforming >melodie in e-moll< by neal white while at the same time keeping much of its spirit. they create an elegant and gentle groove which smoothly seem to transform into a hip-hop beat. well, thats not the end of the story! experimental and extraordinary.

in addition to our first artist album on connaisseur “estroe – elemental assets“ we present the first single “le flaneur” with interpretations by kollektiv turmstrasse our weimar homies christian rottler & deer. all 12 remixes will be released as remix album in digital plus a few remix extracts on vinyl. look forward to the next packages with remixes from audiofly, ripperton, steve rachmad, melon, beatpharmacy, joel mull, tedd patterson, patrick chardronnet, roberto rodriguez and nuno dos santos. le flaneur - this vinyl extract contains the original version of the track - a melancholic detroit-pop pearl with the lovely voice of miss kittin on top plus two remixes. the first remix is the mindbending kollektiv turmstrasse wald und wiesenreh mix that shows in an impressive manner that the two rising northern stars developed their trademark sound to even a higher and more grown-up level. with their “stumme apotheker rmx” the infamous duo christian rottler & deer give a lyrical answer to the original, its starts as a rather acoustic guitar tune and slowly morphs into a trippy and charming debaucher.
