2010 repress! mark hawkins is in the vanguard of the new wave of new wave uk techno. beginning his career in 1999 with a split ep with michael forshaw on the latters much loved chan n mikes label, hawkins was soon noticed by saskia slegers (aka miss djax) for whom he has now recorded 6 eps on her well known djax up beats imprint. he has also released on, amongst others, pro-jex, mosquito and hörspielmusik.. and now, here comes the next release by mark hawkins to the lablestart from kitty corner !!

marquis hawkes is an alter ego adopted by long time electronic music producer mark hawkins, founded for his house music focussed activities. hawkins decided it was time for a reboot after being head-hunted by old friends dan monox and kenny wasp, who had just founded dixon avenue basement jams in 2012, particularly as the material differed from what hed previously released.

time for our fourth various artist release on mumble, for which we have a few new artists joining our ever-growing family. first of we have fuse resident stuart hawkins supplying a swinging deep groover by the name es vedra”. moving on we have mau. who has made his mark with releases on memoria and bal amongst a few. rounding up the release is debutant klebleev and label owner just_me.
