i am really proud to present this 3-tracker by victor ruiz on noir music. i think he is one of the best and most flawless techno producers right now and together we have carefully picked three tracks which perfectly showcases his production skills. i often write how i’ve worked with the artists on my labels to make their tracks reach their best potential. with victor i feel everything has been served to me on a silver platter as his productions are already perfectly crafted. although victor changed details right up until last minute, some of thesetracks also dates back 2 years, so he has had plenty of time to make everything sit and sound right. after a nine month break from releasing originals i feel truely honored that victor has chosen noir music as the label for this venture. both victor and i feel these three tracks compliment each other and at the same time showcase his skills to make great, diverse music. check the entire release. the music will speak for itself.

im frühling 2017 erscheint odd beholders zweite ep “atlas”. zudem geht das schweizer indie-elektropop-duo auf release-tour. odd beholder verbinden introvertiertes songwriting mit einem entrückten und dennoch beinahe nüchternen sound. so erhaben wie ein leerer parkplatz im morgenlicht. dabei ist pop das ziel, nicht der ausgangspunkt: “wir suchen unseren weg aus dem experiment in die einfachheit.” nach einladungen zum reeperbahn festival, great escape und m4music festival sowie touren im vorprogramm von hundreds, veröffentlichen odd beholder im april ihre zweite ep “atlas” auf sinnbus / mouthwatering records.

300 handnumbered limited vinyl copies only. no digital distribution. our new tracks from tangula, featuring the track >jebisu<, played by derrick may on his bbc radio 6 mix, which was supposed to be released on transmat. >the gorbals (endtime mix)< and >disaster strikes< are clearly for the dancefloor and have a driving force, whilst retaining emotional and deep facets. >imbalance< is a dark brooding techno track that is reminiscent of early 90s uk intelligent techno such as stasis, b12 or black dog. expect some sinister synth stabs and chords with sparse melodic elements. clearly a track for the forward thinking djs out there. last but not least >jebisu< finishes off this release with functional percussive elements and deep detroit techno inspired melodic synth work

strong limited to 100 copies worldwide! for his debut lp, martinesque dove deep. it is a project borne out of a personal history with electronic music spanning over two decades long, melting his influences and ambitions into a single piece. bound together by the dance floor experience at large, this collection is unwilling to subject itself to a path of linear narration, embracing an approach more ecclectic instead. throughout the albums runtime, we are invited to rediscover trace memories of starry-eyed nights of yore. we find nods to big beat and electropop, acid, breaks and trance. all over, big basslines recall the sweaty basement jams martinesque grew to love. everything tied up and strapped down tight by the slamming house derivates the man has built his name on. this is a set of transcendent tools dreamt up the morning after. this is packaged and presented to invite receptors to rearrange, reshape, recompile. this is the sum of its parts, and parts might differ.

décalé. is a fresh new label based in biarritz ( france ). décalé. focuses on reissuing worldwide -french speaking- music from the 80 s / 90 s. travelling into multiple genres : synth-pop , west indies , new beat , occitan folk , afrobeat , ... and taking taste in weird and obscure records. for it s first release , décalé. started with one of the most awaited french zouk ( in the ear of the beholder ) albums : nar chiveol – -esperance music wir-. originally released in 1988 on a private press in guadeloupe and the same year on west indies records in paris . -apocalypse now ho- is now a well known banger for diggers and décalé. wanted to show the whole album that is really surprising by crossing west indies genres. from disco west indies with -séance de nuit- and -spleen maria- , weird rumba funk with -fo nou pédalé- to early biguine inspiration with -separation kc-. to close this album , - apocalypse now - and - swingue zouk la - sounds like a revolution didn t yet happen in carraibean music.

osf is happy and proud to announce a new 12-inch by its founder, nur jaber. the label was conceived by the staub resident as her very own creative platform, a place for her to not just release uncompromising music, but also to print poems, letters and in the case of this record, even direct a video. based in berlin, the young producer who was born in beirut remains very attached to her roots. this background partially explains why she can be inspired by tragic events happening regularly in the middle east - making brave statements in the mostly apolitical electronic music environment. the past years have seen nur embrace a career as a music producer, seeing her slowly and steadily become an original new voice in the techno landscape. this ep showcases nur s ability to create and combine daunting atmospherics and frantic paces. it is dark and twisted, with its vocals and screams, but always driving. weapons of mass destruction is meant for banging crazy dance floors, but it is also personal and almost cathartic, especially in the current political situation surrounding all of us. the artwork, as always, is put together by osf family members the beholder and beauty&machines.

and then the log lady said: beauty is in the eye of the beholder. yet there are those who open many eyes. eyes are the mirror of the soul, someone has said. so we look closely at the eyes to see the nature of the soul. sometimes when we see the eyes those horrible times when we see the eyes, eyes that that have no soul then we know a darkness, then we wonder: where is the beauty? there is none if the eyes are soulless.

one of detroit’s most relevant names in modern techno “terrence dixon” joins the modularz roster of producers with his debut ep that features both his terrence dixon name and his alias population one on the same ep. terrence dixon submitted this ep to modularz a couple months back and said to us that he had something special for the modularz label - with the intention of releasing a well balanced ep with deep grooves, stripped down rawness and funky hypno rhythms we felt this would be a great addition to our catalog. we are very pleased to present this release and continue to show our range and our diversity in the techno genre

the time has come for badboe to return to once again rock the floors across the planet with an explicit 4-track party breaks ep. the ghetto funk testament is badboes interpretation of the sound of ghetto funk that has been causing so much hype over the last few years. the 4 funky bangers on this double a-sided ep is taking it back to where it all started - as sample-heavy - upbeat party smashing music! this is the first major release from badboe since his successful second album pump up the funk that dropped in 2012. followed by an instrumental ep and a remix album, which very much celebrated the ghetto funk sound with tunes from the very best in the scene.

deep space orchestras use of weapons label has always been a reliable source of analogue-heavy left of centre deep house, with each split ep, featuring tracks from a variety of like-minded producers, featuring a range of must-have nuggets. this expansive sixth release, with eight tracks spread across two slabs of wax, is no different. dso s beautiful and surprisingly fragile -mendoza- leads the way, with 7 citizens calming, alien house groover -fatum- close behind. arguably best of all, though, is other worlds -coldname eld-, a sparse and bassy concoction blessed with some brilliant, head high style pianos. it is, though, all good, with further impressive contributions from the detroit-included haku.
