to celebrate the birthday we are releasing a series of five singles, available on 10 inch vinyls (1-5). the series will be followed by the huge 10 years clr compilation. it has been mixed and edited by chris liebing and all the 10 tracks, which appear on the singles and later on the compilation are exclusive and specifically produced for this purpose. chris liebing and green velvet teamed up for the first time pretty much by accident. dustin zahn actually became some kind of obstetrician when he started this mash-up. alex bau is known as one of the long time clr artists and obviously had to contribute a track to the series. both tracks are road tested and guarantee serious damage on the dancefloors

repress! justin cudmore is the latest in the line of midwesterners to emerge from the brooklyn music scene, hailing originally from illinois. and you can hear it in his music, that mesmerizing midwestern groove and deep heady thoughtfulness. he debuted on honey soundsystem records, has released on the bunkerny and is member of hot mix, a dj trio that also includes mike servito and gunnar haslam. . to celebrate 10 years of no way back (a regular party in detroit...and beyond), the label is launching the acid series, a series of records on interdimensional transmissions inspired by the no way back parties. the acid series includes submissions from tin man & ectomorph, jasen loveland, justin cudmore, bmg & derek plaslaiko, jordan zawideh, dona, and romans. they all arrive in a unique sleeve especially created for this series, inspired by the decorations of nwb. the first 2 volumes of the acid series will be available in the merch booth during all 313: return to the source events, including no way back.

repress - the previous 3 volume series is now compiled as a compact 2lp. the late, great j dilla is rightly celebrated as one of the greatest hip-hop producers of all time, in part because his ear for music was so diverse and expansive. as dilla’s mother ma dukes explains, “he didn’t come with a limited capacity, and real producers produce, produce, and produce. “there are no formats for genius workers ... just non-stop creations.” now, a fresh batch of those creations will be made available to the world for the first time, in the form of the latest official j dilla release, dillatronic. presented by ma dukes and compiled by djs alien villainz (fellow detroit natives who worked closely with dilla), dillatronic contains over 40 rare instrumentals that showcase dilla’s undeniable electronic influences. j dilla’s music was impacted by the diverse musical history of detroit - the birthplace of techno and one of the most important cities in the history of electronic music. “you can hear it in songs like ‘raise it up’ for slum village or ‘make it hurt’ for busta rhymes,” says young rj (dilla’s protégé and member of slum village). “the detroit influence is part of what gave him an edge in production.” with today’s music sounding more electronic than ever, dillatronic has a shockingly contemporary feel. “these tracks are still ahead of their time sonically,” explains rj. “the things producers are doing now, dilla did that 15 years ago.”
