record store day is synonymous with exclusive and limited releases and this year is no different. featuring a collaboration ep with adrianyounge from venice dawn and black dynamite fame and adrian quesada from the echocentrics, ocote soul sounds, brownout and grammy-winning grupo fantasma. a first name is not all adrian younge and adrian quesada share, they also both have an equal love of the psychedelic, the cinematic and at the root of it all, soul music. so it was inevitable that a collaboration would eventually come to fruition. mutual admirers of each others work, they first met at the sxsw music festival while on the same bill. both began their production careers on mpc and taught themselves various instruments to further capture the symphonies heard in their heads. fresh off his current solo project something about april under the moniker venice dawn, adrian younge found time to create all new tracks with adrian quesada who just released his echoland tribute to timbaland with the echocentrics. although both are distinct artists in their own right, they are cut from the same cloth with a signature sound thats equal parts morricone, early portishead, wu-tang and 60s psychedelic cinema soundtracks. their combined efforts on this ep guarantees a double dose of the sound we have come to expect from these talented individuals.

new years deal - genius of time, axel boman & sankt goran deliver three hot and updated versions of the 93 deep house classic i got this feeling by urban soul aka roland clark..! renowned deep-house duo genius of time takes a few steps uptempo on the a-side. stripping the melodics of this one, leaving roland solo floating on a querky bassline surrounded by their patented cosmic universe. on the flipside, axel boman adds moody chords and trippy dub effects, giving the track the baby-making-treat it deserves. label head sankt görans remix takes it back close to the original, a steady 707 beat, deep bassline and some filtered rhodes that evolves as the track progresses

small world disco edits are back at it again, this time with a release from the head honcho himself, ltj! working under his ltj edit rework guise and on point as ever. three great edits, all testaments to the reason ltj is such a respected figure in the edit world.

new single of the parisian trio on the franco-german label. the first track called dcl is a floating piece combining beautifull organ chords and breaking funky beats, setting on one hand a kind of religious scene and on the other hand giving the feeling to be a stream train at full speed! this is the track choosed by moritz piske, who did a jackin freaky remix out of it. got back is the other original track from the antislash. groovy baseline which reminds the remix they did for ribadisco on the salon records 02. avas verden put her voice with lyrics from her rockband lipstick, following the freaky acid lines. after their killer remix for tin man last year, we qre very happy to release this new project from antislash.
