lars klein returns to triple vision after a short break and returns with a vengeance! an eye for an eye is a fierce heavy bass pounding track with a wobbling feel and pulsating bleebs. excellent produced a side in his new invented style. the flip is slightly harder driven by an uplifting bassline and a furious breakdown, the bass kicks in nicely after and leaves the crowd going mental. the second track on the flip is a rework of the a1 track by stephane signore (insane life) and xentrix. these guys made the track rough and trancy in the true signore style techno. all in all a great release from germanys techno hero!

whats the secret of making a dance floor explode? if youd like to learn just open christian burkhardts contemporary box and look whats inside: at a first glance, it seems that it doesnt contain a lot, except for 3 dance tools. but once on the turntable you may discover the whole secret of this release. what seems to be so simple is a complex construct of percussive elements and basslines that are being arranged just in the right way. contemporary box finds it s peak without even having one, just by grooving on and on, monotonously, with jumping sticks and a pushing bassline. maison noir moves a little more to the housier side and is being carried by warm chords as well as by effective percussions. phey boom brings in a certain coolness and carries that great release home

we are pleased as punch to have this one on dissident. as you no doubt know one half of naum gabo is mr jonnie wilkes aka one half of optimo and unless i got totally the wrong end of the stick when i spoke to jonnie this is the first actual naum gabo release after a bunch of excellent remixes. its a low slung groove for all proper dancefloors with a rubbery bassline, an uber-classic arpeggio, a super-cool synth line and all manner of dubby spacey trippy business going on. i guess this one will fly out even quicker than usual so get them skates on people

essential tech-house interpretation of the jazz standard! tip ! at the core of >take five< is a warm, fluttering piano loop that wouldnt sound out of place on a nina simone record. around these rich, faintly jazzy chords, jona builds a thrillingly direct, percussive track which nods to the passion and polish of classic 90s house music. a shuffling snare pattern and a tough, buoyant kickdrum combine with the keys to give the dancefloor a workout it wont forget. this is smart, optimistic stuff from jona, a ready-made soundtrack for hands in the air at late summers parties. >sunset< is a darker but no less seductive affair. its skeleton is a supple, minimalist groove, undercut with a raw, rangy bassline, and topped by tight snares and a steady, sibilant rush of hi-hats.

italian based eclipsemusics second outing comes with a serious release courtesy of passenger, young and talented producer of night drive music and paul macs sula muse fame. this two tracks 12inch confirms his interest in the deepest and more underground side of detroit techno. on side a >the fall< reveals the smoother side of this upcoming producer: a deep melodic techno builder, with emphasis on atmospheric strings and arpd melodies, developing on a funked up techno drum section. the flipside brings you the burner of the 12inch: >the funk< is an a epic, slow-growing and booty-shaking techno track with all the elements in its right place: a killer bassline over an effective drum work takes the flight with the building strings. namedropping would be useless in this case, just check with your ears

auriums latest release sees the return of tyler michaud! with some of his latest releases being on labels such as vandit, system, baroque and definitive were pumped to have him back with a smoking two track ep! wheres the love is a banging peak time erie monster, fat bassline drivin track with a great breakdown that is sure to cause a stir. do it again is as equally pumping with a raucnchy electro bassline alongside vocal stabs and some great drumwork. were glad to have him back

on the 5th release on his label, fanu has first brought forth an electro infused romp from cycom. petrol has those 808 claps & a rumbling bassline to it, but his electro heaven is of the darker nature, booming like a drug pulsating through your veins, cooling your tension while giving you some heavy visuals. on the flipside, bad matter & martsman lock horns & show you that, you can keep the same intensity in your tracks while still experimenting with different drum kits.

after his last years hit fruchtalarm/city rush boogie dub on farside records, its time for another herb lf solo joint. sunliner takes you on a trip and has a deep melancholic mood with a perfect catchy piano hook. when the reese bassline drops, sunliner takes one step further and creates big dancefloor pressure. expect a very special moment when you play out this wonderful piece of music in the club. dub is the word in down to the sound?. some cheeba cheeba business, a smokers riddim, delayed stabs and a killer bassline is enough for this dubby deep tune. ring the alarm! one of the most groovin 4 to the floor trax that has seen the light recently is named shake!. with a few dubby dancehall snippets and a slightly metallic sounding synth, herb lf adds live percussions from tim friesenhagen. even the sound of a lighter (!!) is used as a rhythmic element. get your groove on this perfect percussive atmospheric tool. shake it, baby!

daniel mehlhart steps up to the plate for kindischs seventeenth release, origami - an exquisitely deep, languid house jam laced with strung-out, processed spanish guitar and gently euphoric xylophone arpeggios. >origami< is languid, yes, but not exactly laid-back: its held up and propelled forward by a gently vibrating lattice of kickdrum and snare hits, through which a dubby, molten bassline and taut, time-keeping chords dreamily but determinedly flow. the perfect soundtrack to the mixed pace of summers long days and even longer nights. mehlhart harks back to his acclaimed past releases on karmarouge and neutonmusic for >alles klar alles easy<, which sees brushed drum and shaker sounds edited into a quietly explosive techno work-out with serious swing. >fata morgana< begins in a more linear, four-to-the-floor style, but those percussive flourishes quickly accrue into something more strange, and then out of the ether comes an entrancing, south american-style chorus line. the voices mingle imperceptibly with woodblock strikes and caustic snares, injecting the techno dna >fata morgana< with a sick and psychedelic voodoo funk. with this 12inch kindisch once again proves itself to be a preeminent stable for experimental, expressive dancefloor music, and daniel mehlhart affirms his status as one of our most daring and capable producers

with already massive support from jocks like technasia, valetino kanzyani, mauro picotto, james kameran and many more chris liebing is starting a new label called spinclub recordings. the first release is by spinclub resident dj emerson, already known for his releases on kiddaz fm and microfon. on this first ep on scr, dj emerson features his familiar dry techno. to the efficiently and solidly working cut the crap on the a-side, he opposes with the spectacular mr. nice on the b-side. mr nice starts off in a restrained way. in the break you could almost think it would lose itself in an ocean of delay, if, yeah if not suddenly this striking bassline would emerge. it starts rolling, turning the track around 180 degrees, transforming it into a rampaging peaktime monster. for the one who wants to put an exclamation mark in his set, voila

dj yellows different influences culminate all in this 13 mins long voyage and its more dj friendly edit!! yellow takes advantage in the original mix, drawing out the intro for 5 mins before dropping the beats. an overwhelming bassline twirls up from the beginning accompanied by sweet bell melodies and beautiful warm pads before the madness starts...

played by sebo k, karotte... layo and bushwacka! are equally at home turning out summery housey affairs as they are peak time stormers, and >now is the time / the time was then definitely fits into the latter category. a double header, the loose concept behind the release is to represent the sound of the dancefloor now versus the sound from a few years ago. >now is the time< has its feet placed firmly in 2008 - a crisp, clean techno bassline, topped by hand claps, snatches of breathy female vocal, and full of an irresistible array rattles, whooshes and other indefinable sounds that the duo seem to pull from the depths of their imaginations. it breaks with some simple electronic sounding chords and a stirring martin luther king sample that makes this record so memorable. >the time was then< is based around that same sample, but gives a cheeky nod to a few years back, with a bassline and keys that wouldnt have sounded out of place on their seminal ‘night works’ album. it never goes too far towards nostalgia, though, and either would rip up a late night dancefloor

trouble in paradise is a pure testament to the roots of r&b flavored vocal house. in the danism vox the sweet simplicity of the standard boom & clap intro is well paced and leads into the funky bassline, while the enchanting chords set the stage for the outstanding vocal performance of sean williams. his r&b flavored, distinctive phrasing is mildly reminiscent of john legend, however, seans earthy quality shines through. the passionate & insistent lyrical melody never fails, climaxing into panoramic bridges while the memorable bah de dahsintermittently dot the production. its texture is a reminder of sophisticated nyc funk a la early 80s prelude/west end/sam records with a modern house feel. djs, if you want the ladies on the floor, trouble in paradise (danism vox) is the one to drop!
