long and sleepless nights were the inspiration for slaapgebrek wich means sleep deprivation in dutch. the results of these sessions are two moody & hallucinogenic tracks, wich represent a state of mind only to be experienced after many restless nights. the original mix with its freaked out shuffled drumpatterns, rave stabs and maximal modulated bassline is peaktime dancefloor fudder for any crazed techno night. frustrated bleeps and fx give it a nervous twilight zone like feel, climaxing and clashing throughout the track. the flipside takes things on a lighter, more emotion ridden tip. the rhythm is stripped down of all nastiness and the bassline friendlier and melodic. halfway through the break the violins kick in, resembling the break of dawn after another night of turning and twisting without getting any much deserved rest. perfect afterhour material.

the original version of cubik room its a cool, electro flavoured workout with an earthy bassline and skipping beats!! rino cerrone give us an brilliant example of th art of the remix, he twisting the original sounds ever so slightly and embellishing the arrangement with a little extra studio trickery to increase the pressure...god save rino!!! the other remix is made by mauro alpha, well known for this palette on boxer sport! a secure dancefloor killer!

phat >rekorder< like tec-trax-new label !! american artist ariel and german electronic music producer jan muller have joined forces to produce the criminal sounds of prime suspect. with a blend of industrial, techno, new wave, electro, punk and live vocals this duo creates a distinctive, futuristic hybrid of dance. the compelling mix of electronic punk features both jans & ariels emotive vocals, adding a taste of yesterdays anarchist sarcastic flavor, but never interferes with the music. next to prime suspect, jan is the co-producer of internationally renowned project x-dream ...
again the tracks were selected carefully, each of them strong on personality and waiting to burst out and put the willies up anyone who believes that techno can be pigeonholed. cue bjorn svin (of mand over board fame) and a brooding monster of a tune that briefly saw a release on his excellent 1999 lp benene pa nakken and was included on the la monde (aka len fakis) at the wheels of steel mix cd the following year. believe that this track is a killer one of those inspired pieces of techno that sticks in your head for days after hearing it for the first time next up label boss jerome hill lets his bass out in the comedic rel und pol, a dancefloor workout with a syncopated speech running throughout. flip over for rob stow and im going to kill her put simply this is nasty (in a nice way) a riff that tears you a new one and edits and tricks galore, this ones gonna give the speakers a battering! last but certainly not least, switzerlands ki yota from mercurochrome and mental industries steps up to deliver us an apocalyptic anthem with wowwow bass, that swiss percussion and lead riffs all snaking around, finally building to a satisfying climax over and out

locked in a studio filled to the roof with analog synths and a broken guitar, unit 4s ralf beck and sebastian of of art rock duo noblesse oblige have come up with one hell of a beast straight out of the cosmic underworld. a soundscape in which apache indians are chased by helicopter propellers, tribal bongo rhythms and hypnotic electronic arpeggios melange with surf guitars to create a delirious disco nightmare in slow motion. already a much requested favourite at hyped disco nirvana salon des amateurs in duesseldorf and featured in the upcoming new york k48 mix artzine.

the e.p showcases some new sides to james sound and has won widespread support and praise. the title track call & response is a shuffly groover which is impeccably produced and arranged. it will be sure to get the floor grooving and has picked up nothing but positive responses from all who have heard it so far. the second track the trinity is james personal favourite of the moment. it goes tough – very tough – and as the slammin groove builds to the point of explosion, it defuses and rebuilds with controlled power. this is an absolute dancefloor bomb...
