the revitalized moton records inc continues to impress and inspire us with amazing, undiscovered music. despite being launched in the early nineties, the label have only released just over 20 records. a co-operative effort between djs diesel, harvey, faiths dave jarvis and ashley beedle, this label has expertly amended and extended many an undiscovered, lost classic. as passionate afficionadoÆs and music lovers, their selections for the moton treatment are always dealt with respectfully, and released in super limited quantities, hence the crazy prices they reach in the second hand market !this expertly crafted trio of cuts is the handy work of non other than dave hill, founder of the legendary nu phonic label, well turned out gentleman about town and a fellow disciple of the good groove the quality is off the scale, the pressing is a one-off - you know what to do

played by karotte, giles smith (secretsundaze), laurent garnier... already up to its 17th release, yore keeps rolling on, this time with a new release by memory foundation. in 1994 robert hood found his way into a dark basement somewhere in viennas suburbia. mr. hood was impressed by what he had heard, and with him a dat-tape took a long journey back to where techno was invented once. with their first appearance on detroits m-plant label 15 years ago, the memory foundation or one of their many alter egos found its way into the hearts and the record-bags of many serious electronic music lovers. in 1997, after setting up their own record labels central and together with jeremiah grow! and other releases on m-plant, 7th city or usm followed. the memory foundation now returns with their contribution for the yore camp, with their >reptiles in exile ep< they prove that they havent lost their magic touch. the track burns with electro-funk fire, with natural kit and cymbal sounds giving the already-surging cut extra thrust and the staccato burble of metallic chords adding berlin flavour. a lithe eight-note bass motif anchors the warm techno-funk of >bass traveller< as a flaring synth motif squiggles alongside rhodes chords and a boogieing clavinet line, and its easy to become so engrossed by the tunes relaxed swing that the artistry of its arrangement can go underappreciated. textbook body music, >summer visions< is an earthier, mid-tempo funk workout thats sure to get the dance floor crowded, while the light-speed closer >reptiles< blazes a slinky house trail whose fresh swing has got yore written all over it. with any luck, we wont be waiting twelve more years for the next memory foundation release

a killer clubby groove from steve marshall û the kind that reminds us of the best indie singles from the late 70s disco years! steve plays alto sax here over a strutting, high stepping rhythm thats got plenty of warm touches û really glowing with a sense of soul thats great, and touched by some female chorus vocals that are very much in a philly mode! the disco mix is great û even more upbeat and extended than the 45 groove. in the country is a great bit of club jazz û smooth and sweet, but still with a snakey flute line in the middle û almost like some lost bobbi humphrey track from her epic years. do what you will is another chorus vocal number û and you are the world features some laidback mellow flute.

skylax records, the company focused on realeasing original obscure dance classic and everythings that sounds fine to their ears! for our 11th release , we decided to bring you guys a brand new track from the italo master of all time: the fantastic beppe loda under the name italowerk. honestly, we were not expecting anything, as he did so much for electronic music already for the past 20 years, resident at the legendary typhoon club in italy (brescia), playing a huge amount of electronic underground tracks that are praised today by clubbers & vinyl fetishists, he created also what we called today afro cosmic. we could sum up his new project just by its name italowerk = kraftwerk meets underground italo. the first track is called sognando that we could translate by dreaming. indeed, this is a very powerfull track, that sounds almost like an italo lost gem (circa 1982) but with an incredible modern feeling, full of crazy electro synths, arpeggios and a terrible kick: an athem!
