southern california producer jeffrey brodskys *i ll be strong* is the latest ep to appear on san francisco based label public release. its comprised of four tracks, with brodskys original joined by three wide ranging remixes, which complement its energetic feeling with deeper material aimed at late nights and early mornings.

the cellar boyz *pay me* is taken from ben cenacs timeless cozmic house ep on thug records. pay me which was recorded in 1986 is the only track from the cozmic house e.p that had available parts. the stems for deeper & deeper, seems to me & who loves you were never recorded. this was due to the fact that all of bens projects through out the 90s were tracked midi only at mix down, with only the vocals being recorded to tape! thug would never have had the opportunity to release ben cenacs cozmic house 12 inch if it had not been for simoncino. simoncino did all the a&r for the record. a gift not only for thug but any fans of ben cenacs amazing productions. with that in mind, simoncino has provided 2 remixed versions of pay me, alongside a remix from close friend nicholas!

following on from a full-length album of grainy, synth-laden house on mathematics, and equally unique eps on thug and lies, simoncino makes his debut on creme organization with five suitably esoteric house offerings.

italian producer simone fedi, hailing from tuscany, takes things to a whole new level on this third release on eskimo recordings. >bitter devotion< is a vocal pop gem with a balearic tinge, but its bittersweet vocals and the addictive melody will haunt you. for this tune fedi, a multi-instrumentalist with a knack for pop music and a soft spot for vintage gear, joined forces with a mysterious singer named lola rent, and this turns out to be a winning team.

its with great pleasure that we announce this split ep from these two true music masters: nicholas and simoncino! it looks like these italians never eat pizza and pasta, never go to the beach, never watch calcio and never date some nice italian girls. they are music obsessed and prefer being in their studios and produce authentic oldschool house. for anyone who likes a deep, analogue synth heavy groove and is into disco and chicago, this ep is for you. forza italia!

black gold also contains a rendition of sandy denny s who knows where the time goes, in a minimalist arrangement that ends in an uplifting orchestration true to both the writer of the song and the performer. throughout the entire performance ms simone keeps a regal, aloof and sometimes goofy composure, her monologues in between songs ushering the listener a little closer to her moving performance.

simoncino (aka nick anthony) from italian super edit label no more hits crosses the atlantic and finds a new home with on the prowls sub-label party breaks. what immediately stands out upon first listen is the production style, not being able to tell what is a sample and what has been replayed... much like tensnakes mega hit. the simoncino sound is firmly rooted in proto-house and 80s r&b. with ingredients like ancient drum machines, arpeggiated melodies, and cheap 80s pads, his concoction boils over with a certain cheekiness that makes listeners grin from ear to ear. all four tracks are subtle hits in their own right. excellent ep!
