pulsewidthmod,creates tracks that are very epic and driving in nature all of which are recorded as live techno jams using elektrons dark trinity and an ms20 mini. her influences from techno to industrial, ebm, and belgium new beat leaves the listener with some menacing drums and a juxtaposition of both pleasing and disorienting melodies. serpentine servitude explores the idea that perhaps the serpent in the garden of eden was really being humanities servant. who was this creator character to dictate which fruit was ok for us to eat? who was he or they to say that if we ate the fruit we would be tainted and forever separate from divine love? all this did was create the idea in our consciousness that we were tainted. it is of my personal belief that the idea that we are sinful is the original sin. this god character who created beings in his own image and then dictated how they were to live their life kind of sounds like an over controlling father. where is mother in all this? the album started with the track original sin which was originally titled acid. seems somewhat appropriate since the concept of original sin seems to be a violation on humanities consciousness

futile demise ep is an emotional and disconcerting journey through the mind of finnish artist juha puupera. drawing on influences from norwegian black metal, uk sound system culture and italian horror cinema of the 1970s, gruth mixes dark and aggressive tones in his sonic palette. his production methods are often experimental and the style rarely fits into one box as it spans forward-thinking techno, black ambient and doom industrial. with his ep, gruth shapes montevideo-based tormenta electrica label’s first release. of the four tracks featured, two are collaborations with the finnish techno and ambient artist ikola, known for his etherwerks label, while the mysterious helsinki-based violinist and sound designer kujo contributes to the other two.

the copenhagen based label trtlnck delivers fast paced and functional techno on their fourth v/a vinyl installment. riesenfeld opens the record with ‘auto self’ and ‘white weather’, two groove heavy tracks, while resonant pole takes over the flip-side with ‘eroticism moves’, a more trancelike take on contemporary techno, followed up by modah closing the record with ‘lasue’, a suitable tool for almost any selection. all four tracks are heavily dance floor orientated and bring the sound of the copenhagen club scene on to vinyl.

as co-head of seattle based record label jungle gym, caleb dravier aka dravier, has provided a steady source of musical inspiration over the past 3 years through both his label output and a string of individual artist releases. along with fellow label head, rene najera, he has established jungle gym as a respected platform for emerging electronic artists whilst maintaining an ethos and identity so synonymous with seattle based music. pressing on solid white 12 inch vinyl.

this is essential tremor’s second and final album of all time. the band broke up after the recording of this record but still managed to play one final show before fully breaking up. the show was one of the most brutal things nashville, tn has ever witnessed and lead singer cole k was banished from nashville forever following the performance. essential tremor’s work never quite fit in with the rest of what was occurring in nashville around the time these tracks were recorded, but we re sure that this tape will fit right in with the rest of your collection.

the uk based label will offer up several releases throughout 2018 and yama music 001 perfectly sets the tone of what’s to follow. taking the lead here is ‘margaret made me do it’ which lays down woozy synth tones and modulating glitches alongside a snaking sub bass groove, shuffled minimalistic percussion and an amalgamation of contemplative spoken word vocal cuts to create a tripped-out opening to the record. ‘ddderlooon party’ follows and retains a similar aesthetic with swinging drums and ethereal atmospherics at its core whilst hypnotic, billowing synths ebb and flow dynamically across the composition, again creating something raw yet refined. then lastly to round out the package ‘moon boots’ tips the focus over to a more straight percussive groove and stirs in vacillating low-end pulses, murky, evolving stabs and mind-bending electronic blips.
