prolific uk deep house hero andy compton is back on his fabled peng stable with a new project entitled blue dream, and an album called california dreaming which unsurprisingly deals in gorgeous sun soaked tones aimed squarely at the loungey end of his plush, melodic repertoire. from the slinking funk of -betsy- to the low-slung beats and smooth-as-silk bass of -disco baby,- compton shows himself to be completely at home rolling at this kind of tempo, no doubt projecting himself to the malibu beach idyll you can see on the cover. music so radiant, you d best slap on some sunblock.

lumberjacks in hell welcomes deep house vet andy compton and shamrock for a trip into plush disco, laid back funk and more besides. bunny chow was reportedly recorded in south africa, and features the vocal talents of asli on a number of the tracks. you can certainly hear the afro influence creeping into the simmering groove of the title track, while aslis vocals shine through the clearest on the downtempo tones of everything is gravy. nifanyeje is another warm trip through afro disco replete with noodling guitar lines and a crisp drum machine beat, while roga mziki ends the record on a high note with a final blast of that infectious, sunkissed sound the pair have clearly mastered on their musical adventure

andy c has unveiled the video for his new single with fiora, *heartbeat loud*. this is andys first official music video, and his first release since signing to atlantic records. *heartbeat loud* was premiered on radio 1 as zane lowes hottest record and can currently be heard via andys soundcloud, having now had over 245.000 plays. the vocal for *heartbeat loud* was originally written by fiora and intended to be a solo release, but upon hearing the vocal, andy c mixed it together with one of his own instrumental tracks that he had been testing out in his sets for some months, it was clear to both the strength of the collaboration was undeniable.

after a fairly lengthy break the unleash label is back with a superb 2 tracker that won t disappoint. the a side is an excellent deep almost progressive killer with an amzing bassline and killer production. it has a pumping yet deep feel with its delayed edits and spatial effects. the flip side is even better with its more german electro house bassline and clever tension building breaks. this will certainly feature very heavily on european dancefloors. not to be missed
